  1. That's because I failed miserably at expressing it. It was a fleeting thought that my brain applied an analogy to, and after a few beers I figured everybody else would get it, that was my mistake. Sorry. Like I said, just forget about it. On the other hand, all of the replies to whatever everybody THOUGHT I meant are mildly entertaining to me
  2. Obviously my way with words leaves much to be desired. My point had nothing to do with camping. Just forget it.
  3. I'm a NEWBIE history freak. I have exactly 54 "gotta read" books in the database I made for future buying reference (I'm gonna be busy for awhile.) I have nothing constructive to add, other than good luck!
  4. You'd think it would help, but it doesn't. They still shit in their front yards. But that's okay because Kim Jung Il still has what's left of his pride.
  5. Just another CNN report. Jesus Christ. I think the U.S. should just throw 'em a bone. That's all they want. They're harmless. Do the humane thing and help their people, their fucking starving.
  6. I guess I didn't make myself clear. I'm not suggesting that everybody should buy a bow and move as far away from the city as they can. I'm talking about attitudes, that's all. I just think that too many people seem to have a lack of perspective in things that are going on now. Like the things going on now are any different then the shit that's been going on for thousands of years. But, then again, of course it's different. The people going through it are alive NOW, not thousands of years ago. So that makes it different I guess.
  7. I still think N. Korea has a different motive. Like I said before - it's like a little kid screaming for attention. They've done similar things before, but it seemed to be more of a pride thing - they needed help but weren't going to just ask for it. This time is different - they're on their last leg. Keep in mind the gov't structure of N. Korea. Kim Jung Il tried and failed, and he's backed into a corner. The U.S. isn't against a governmental body, it's against a leader with a human personality.
  8. It just popped into my head . I think it's funny, I'm not sure why. Some people need a whole kitchen to prepare good food, others are just fine roasting dead animals over a fire. Some people can sleep in the woods with no problem, others don't like to be outside after dark. Seriously, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE???? If you go to the grocery store and pick out some chicken breasts, packed on a styrofoam plate and sealed with plastic, and bake them in the oven, how is that ANY different than cutting up a fish or deer or whatever you just killed and cooking it over a fire? Are the chicken breasts' you just bought zapped with some sort of ray gun that makes them fit for the consumption of civilized people? And sleeping outside - when exactly did sleeping outside of wood and brick houses become a novelty? Are you safer in a house? Safer from what? Is the boogyman going to have a hard time breaking you're glass windows and crawling inside? Seriously - is it a psycological thing or what? If it is then something must be wrong with me because I felt completely safe the last time I was in the middle of nowhere in a tent. I'm frustrated. I just don't know what the hell is wrong with people.
  9. Heh, funny how that works ain't it? My brother is 4 years younger, and now he's 4" taller. I stopped kicking his ass too
  10. No, no, no. That's much too expensive. The following is copyrighted (by me), but you may take notes: How to live cheap and fit: Breakfast: 4 scrambled eggs, 1 piece of toast w/ peanut butter, 1 or 2 glasses of water w/ multi-V. Lunch: Sandwich - deli meat and cheese (don't buy that processed shit), apple, more water and a multi-V. Dinner: Mac & Cheese w/ a can of tuna, water and one more multi-V. Somewhere in there add a bagel w/ cream cheese as a snack. You'll be good to go. Trust me. Of course, there will be days when you're sick of it. No problem - buy case of your fav. beer and drink yourself under.
  11. I was going to say something along those lines, but it's hard with the WTC taboo still there. I know what you're saying, nonetheless.
  12. They should ban that. I still remember joining because there was supposed to be camping and fun outdoorsy stuff. Next thing I know I'm knocking on peoples' doors and saying "Would you like to buy some candy bars?" That wasn't part of the freakin' deal.
  13. Do Cub Scouts still sell those candy bars? God I hated selling those gaddamn things.
  14. Are you serious? I haven't been flying for a few years - is it THAT different? I feel guilty saying I really haven't been keeping up with new regulations.
  15. Of course I was joking - like I said, I used to build rockets when I was a kid. The safety record speaks for itself. But of course you get some moron that finds out and says "you mean kids can just go BUY rocket engines!?!?" I'm suprised that it's been legal as long as it has. Pretty sad - it's a good hobby for kids. I know I learned a lot from it.
  16. God Bless Korea (and god bless FARK )
  17. Fuck MS - get Flight Gear.
  18. See, it's the cloud's silver lining - now we get to be creative!
  19. Thats what scares me. If that's true it's like they don't really want to win - they just want to go down and take as much of the US as they can with them. I'd think DPRK is desperate enough, and Saddam crazy enough, to do just that
  20. I wouldn't quite go that far, but they are getting pretty ballsy. IMO N. Korea is like a little kid that's crying for attention, that seems to be their history over the past several decades. Oops, I'm getting politcal - I better go get some beer and get back to mindless PW'ing
  21. If that's true, I'm leaving the country.
