  1. Man ya should of asked us this in L-burg. It is to easy if Red can't explain it to you in simple terms call me. (270) 798-4267 An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  2. Bed time stories too? It is a good DZ, I wish I had found it for the team. But alas I only tagged along, glad I do though. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  3. I responded to a specific post you made. I agreed with you, but do not think it actually supports your argument. It was a jaded skew of an example, kind of like manipulating data to get the results you want. Then you go back to the tired old college kids are smarter than enlisted kids argument. 4. MRE's!?! Thanks but we will hit McD's I think. We got there at 9am and made 2 loads. It looks like we have a new location to do some of our training at. Great DZ and Staff! Any one looking for a "small" DZ that is actually "big" in its ability, these is the place. By small it still has the personal feel of a C-182 DZ and by Big they have 2 King Airs (one is in maintanance right now) and a C-182, large hanger plenty of landing area and gear, coaches, smiles etc etc. (yeah it should be in a review) An Instructors first concern is student safety. 5. This is probably your best attempt at explaining your thought process clearly. I would agree with you in your choices. After all the two groups you use for your example are better EDUCATED in the field your going to apply them too. Both groups would also be SMART enough to know that at the time of your decision. 6. The sight is accurate with the information it has. I am stating they don't have ALL the statistics. Some of us have kept our EDUCATION to our selves. We have done this so we can be promoted on our work productivity and not our educational past. Shit! I owe beer, first time spell checker said I had no misspellings! An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  7. The statistic you quote I know is a bit off. I am one of many Soldiers (I personally now 6 out of my unit) who take classes with out any Army or DOD assistance and there for not part of that statistic. I also now many, who have degrees, who have not posted them to their Army records yet (again I am one of them), call them naive if you want but they are trying to work up the ranks on their job performance not a piece of paper from a University. 8. OK how to YOU measure intellect? SAT? ASVAB? GPA? Income? Job Title and position? Those are almost all material crap and mean absolutely nothing in the area of success in true intellect, life and happiness. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  9. Her experience is not unique in the current Army. I take exception with your "IQ" test gibberish. The argument you keep making is using improper terms. Enlisted tend to join with the same Education as a College freshmen (if you use the 18 year old just out of high school as a base line), in say 12 to 24 months the freshmen in college will be a tad bit more EDUCATED. Education does not always mean a higher IQ or smarter. Why can't you seperate those things and admit that the "SMARTNESS" (IQ) of todays Soldier/Sailor/Airmen/Marine and Coast Guardsmen is higher than when you and I joined? 10. The Screaming Eagles of the 101st Parachute Demonstration Team are taking one of there students and a few of their jumpers to Skydive Alabama Sunday (19 Nov). So who of the dropzone.com crew will they get to see there? They will be easily recognizable.
  11. It starts as a standard Tetris, he has added more sleeve material instead of spandex forearms and more leg material along the thighs. He can also use a different material on the body. Mine has a standard supplex body and legs with cordura booties and grippers, and sleeves that are a bit smaller than a freefly suits sleeves. So now I have 6 Michigans (3 Tetris and 3 older stlye Comp suits) all with a different job. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  12. Michigan Suits just built me a suit that will work well for you in your sizes. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  13. You can only lead 'em to the DZ. What they hit when they are there is on them. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  14. Finally! Some one who is going to help grow the sport too! (I apologize if I missed some one else stating they would bring one more in too) An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  15. Pathfinder has a lot to do with Parachutes. We run most of the Dropzones for Personel and Equipment and 80% of us jump into work, of the 80%, about 25% of that is also HALO. We are also the Only ones in the Army who can legaly servey a dropzone for use that is not in the AZARs. Just thought I would clarify that a little. Hey ya got video from the B&G Meet? The Photos you took of DOC are plastered all over his cubical, he may be pissed when he gets back to work tomorrow. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  16. Yeah the UPS guy just delivered my new Tetris right to the front door. FedEx, well, I am still looking for a box of patches that the say I signed for a month ago. Even though when they read the address back it was not Kentucky they shipped it to, any one in Kansas got a box of military patches they didn't order? Oh it was addressed to Kentucky but the bar code tracker shows it stopped in Kansas, and stayed. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  17. I know one of the business partners, and he is a stand up guy. I would bet he would do a good deal as he advertised. But I haven't been in the market for gear since he started up his partnership. Just my $.02. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  18. My new Tetris just came in and I must say Mike did an awesome job! It is a little baggier than my team slow suit. I like it alot and can't waite to put the beer jump on it! Again Mike made it look like he matched the suit colors to the rig! So now I have a quiver of suits that look like they are all built from the same color batch. 19. Lucky, Yes the average Enlisted is not as EDUCATED as the average college kid, to start with. How ever they are just as SMART. What does the SAT test? Education from an institution. What does the ASVAB Test? Education from an Institution and LIFE experiences. I commend you for your time in service, you joined because your life sucked and because of it, your service experience sucked (a predisposition from your pre-service life I would venture, but I can only put it together from your word in your posts). Others joined for various reasons and have the right to be proud and defend the time they served as much as you degrade your time you served. After all it is part of the reason we have a military here in the United States of America, to defend the freedom of speech (but the Constitution, Lawyers and Supreme Court do the heavy work there). 20. Its called belly flying. The drill was for me to match the extremly slow fall rate of the other dude, he falls in the low 100 ish range even in the nylon suit. Once matched, it was then to stay in slot no matter what he did. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  23. Cool shots dude! It was nice to jump with ya! It was cool to meet a few of the dz.com folks there. See ya in the big blue! An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
