  2. I was told that students were exempt, but that won't stop me from contributing to the cause when I do something spectacular (hasn't happened yet
  3. Yup! I hear some people do it all the time. Frankly I don't get it. Whuffo those people wanna risk their lives coming down in a hunk of metal??? I'd rather float like a multi-colored snowflake through the breath of God.
  4. WOOOHOOOOOOOOO! I still have 72,725 jumps to go
  5. We prefer those pretty Texas girls that speak with a sweet Texas twang!
  6. Yes, most whuffos you talk to will say that. The media never reports things like "last year approximately 2,000,000 safe jumps were made." They'll tell you when someone dies in a heartbeat, but in today's society good news is simply not news. 1111, GeekStreak
  7. Hmmmmmmmmmm....... Kinda like a Zen approach to canopy control...
  8. a.k.a. Scotland (the mossy rock near those other mossy rocks) and Texas (the blessed republic of). We know why you wear those skirts. It's so you don't get caught with your pants down when yer F*&^ing all those sheep! Now you leave my Texas alone! 1111, GeekStreak And another thing. I had always heard that VD was a sheep disease that was "accidentally" introduced to humans. THANKS A LOT !! 1111, GeekStreak Edited by GeekStreak on 6/26/01 05:10 PM.

  12. Cable rocks!! You are NOT the only person without a broadband connection, but you will be soon . I am blessed with a T1 at work and cable at home. Life is good
  13. That is sooo cool! It's the reverse of my very first plane ride... positive Gs followed by negative Gs. As a kid, I thought it was fun. Most of the passengers on the 727 would disagree, especially the flight attendants who were serving drinks at the time . Afterward, the pilot told us that we had just avoided a collission with a small plane. Since then I've only had one experience in a plane that scared me... landing in Boston. 1111, GeekStreak

  18. Hi All, After my last jump my JM said he was gonna put me under a smaller canopy... a PD 230 instead of a PD 280. I am 198 lbs out the door, giving me a wing loading of .71 using the PD 280. My wing loading becomes .86 with the PD 230. How different will it be? What can I expect? .86 wing loading is still pretty docile, right? Thanks in advance! 1111, GeekStreak
  19. Add one to the 'skydiving addict' column... There's one less whuffo in this world
