I see lots of people wearing those at my DZ. I want one, but I refuse to wear it until I get to deploy my own chute... don't want to look like a wanna-be with my 2 whole SL jumps . How much does FreakThreads charge for one?? 1111, GeekStreak

Statistics? We don't need no stinking statistics!

Hmmmm ... Interesting point. So, getting pulled out damages the plane? If so, I think I'd like to change my answer -
Once I cought a different kind of crab doin' that. hehe. 1111, GeekStreak

Yes. My point exactly!

Nah!! I'm glad to have everybody here to learn from. I'll get to 9,500' in 12 more jumps !! Then I get to ride the BIG plane

You got me beat by 8,300 feet! Do I still suck???

I was wondering when/if you would chime-in, Sis.

At my DZ they make us empty our pockets before gearing up... anything sharp and anything we wish to keep . 1111, GeekStreak

Stop the canopy if you can. If it goes out the door the jumper should follow it ASAP. I would not push them out. 1111, GeekStreak -

Ditto that. On my first jump our S & TA assisted with my gear check. She grabbed all of the excess material on the one-size-fits-all student jumpsuit, pulled it to the back and tucked it under the container. I asked what she was doing (couldn't see behind myself) and she asked me, "You want to be able to pull those handles if you need to, right?". On my second jump I did it myself. Sounds like it should be a regular part of my pre-flight routine. 1111, GeekStreak

Any of you old-timers (jumping experience, not age ) wanna post "A" questions in the form of Surveys? Hmmmm??? C'mon. Do it for my pal Justin

No, no. You're confused again. You Scotch can keep all the four legged ones. I was referring to women, you know, the ones that look like yer mum right after she's been sheared. I do know you are not scotch. Scotch is good. I just wanted to see if I could hear your blood boiling from across the pond. All the Scotts I've met couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the directions were printed on the heel! In fact I bet if you collected all the brains in Scottland and shoved 'em up a gnats ass they would roll around like BB's in a boxcar! 1111, GeekStreak

I am a SL student. Unless I and my JM have failed to attach the static line to the plane, I'll have a reason to chop in a mal. As a student I need to make my decission to deploy the reserve by 2500' and do it by 2000'. Since I'm jumping at 3500' I make my jump assuming that I'll be executing my emergency procedures and let my main prove me wrong by properly inflating. Fortunately for me, my altimeter and both handles are on my chest
