    Married life..

Cool. t It's the year of the Pig.
  3. Mmm. Back in the bad old days of apartheid, we were all drafted. Having been drafted into the military, as opposed to having joined, you will find some people less keen to kill (in our case our fellow countrymen) than others. Some were made cooks and stewards etc. If you had Fudds viewpoint, that by cooking you're freeing up another gun - you spent 4 years in DQ's or DB, depending on your unit - our equivalent of "rocks in Kansas" If your objection was political - you did 7 years in a civilian jail. (In SA you get 3 years if convicted for your first violent rape) and a criminal record for life. I think it takes more courage to go through what this young man is going through - than to hide face down in the dirt and cry your way through your first firefight - and then go home a hero. I think we've all met a few of those. Just my thoughts. t It's the year of the Pig.
  4. Hi Jim - Sorry about the golf... but here in Africa - the only chance of not jumping is the wind - and that only happens in August - between the 18th and the 30th. It's quite consistant, but is sometimes a day or 2 late - at least over the last 18 years... t It's the year of the Pig.

    back... DAMN

"Funny it is only those with no jumps and a lot of posts that are getting mad...... " No... 3800 dives - 250 posts (0,4 per day) I learn loads from people with fewer dives than me. My freefly coaches are often former AFF students of mine. Just try to keep learning, OK? Just try. t It's the year of the Pig.
  6. Making rules now eh? 2 dives? Done your 3rd yet? What do you have planned for your 4000th? t It's the year of the Pig.
  7. Stylin, Are you saying that you would attempt to physically beat up someone for an ideological disagreement? At 43? Ho Ho. How have you managed to grow so old with instant violence always an option? I've never met Aggie - but he's a skydiver - and that makes him family even though I may not agree with everything he says. You have a long way to go to brotherhood/sisterhood. 1SL? The sperm ain't even out of the dick! Have a look at the profiles of the people you're asking for "some" credit. You're so deep in debt you may never get back out. Bowling sounds good. Golf better. t It's the year of the Pig.

    hmmmm pro tec's

If you're trying to pull ladies skydiving - you are competing with a lot of people who are cooler and better than you are. 1. The Pro Tec is a good helmet - considering the speeds you move at under a Manta 288... 2. Skydiving is something you do. When pulling ladies - I'd imagine it has more to do with who you are. t It's the year of the Pig.
  9. Very well written. And apart from the line "He is the American Fighting Man" it is true for all those men who fight and die for their countries. Regardless of their leaders ideology... It was certainly true for me at 19. t It's the year of the Pig.
  10. I didn't. It's off a Red Hot Chilli Peppers song on the Californication CD... t It's the year of the Pig.
  11. I was in a 4 way team - I had 400 jumps, the other 3 had 1400 each (One was later a member of the US 8 way) The dive was going really well. I looked down, dumped, turned and tracked. I was open at 700 feet. The other 3 were all below me. Our "Dytter man" had failed to warn us... although there was considerable debate around this at the time - about 14 years ago. t It's the year of the Pig.
  12. So... I'm thinking... what did you type into google to come up with THAT! It's the year of the Pig.
  13. What's a Sydiver? t It's the year of the Pig.
  14. Let them live. The world is full of shite right now. Make your spot a safe haven. Birdshit washes off real easy, and I'm guessing there is good karma in supporting things that can not yet fly - but will soon.

  17. Hi Stylin, There are quite a few, of which bounceproof and groundrush - ironically, spring to mind. There is a link to Groundrush clothing on my site. www.blueskies.co.za Stay cool, t It's the year of the Pig.
  18. This was also done for charity, with each of the individual jumpers choosing their own. The jump aircraft was a Pilatus PC 6 Porter. t It's the year of the Pig.
  19. We've been through this before. This discussion is about batteries - but lets go down your road. It was mounted in the clip supplied for the purpose of retaining it by L&B. The clip was retained - meaning I had mounted it securely. The dytter was not - meaning they'd designed it poorly. Since then, the Pro Dytter is supplied with cable ties -and the Pro Track with both cable ties and rubber bands. Both these are afterthoughts to the origional design, which were added because...? The origional clip supplied never did its job as intended. My review on the Pro Dytter is not the only one which mentions them going adrift. The fact that L&B have replaced 100's of units is an indication that they are aware of the poor design of the origional clip. If you want to continue this discussion, lets take it to the PM's. t It's the year of the Pig.
  20. I have just over 600 dedicatd Crew dives, and about another 350 with Crew on - in the old days of cruislites after RW - just 4 stacks, dragplanes, side-by-sides, 2 stacks, downplanes etc My 600 crew dives are all 4 way rotation, apart from a few 5 to 12 stacks, some night crew, and maybe 20 bidi dives. I stopped for 6 years after 1996 - as I found I was just chasing the next missing 10th of a second off a rotation. I was not enjoying - I was doing it cos others thought I was good at it. I've started again. 2 stacks, 3 stacks, side by sides, downplanes. Got my first newbie after the restart about 30 seconds out the door. It's fun again. Apart from the landings. They're as Shite as ever... t It's the year of the Pig.

  24. Hi There, I'm on a Pro Dytter (My 3rd, since they come adrift) - and have 100 dives since my low battery warning first went off in early January. I've found it'll go 2/3 times as long on low bat than it does before the bat warning starts. I wear an Alti - I have no data to protect - and I don't rely on my audiable. My old Dytter lasts over 1000 dives or 5 years... whichever comes first. t It's the year of the Pig.
  25. Hi SM. Galvanor used a silicone coating on their fabric. I live and work in SA and don't know of a single canopy that makes it to reline. Sabres have made it to 1000's of dives and multiple relines. My Stilletto 107 is due for its 2nd reline. I suspect PD is correct. t It's the year of the Pig.
