You will drive to Home Depot anyway when your current lightbulbs burn out. Also CFL lightbulbs will require replacing less often than incandescent, so you will drive to Home Depot less often in the future, meaning further energy savings! The standard manufacturers reccomendation is to do 200 jumps before trying a wingsuit. It's not that entry level wingsuits are that difficult to fly, but they do add quite a bit of complication if something does go wrong. Best not to take shortcuts. For a survey to be conducted in more than a dozen countries it is neccesary for at least a dozen of those to be foreign. Just like Bush, who was elected twice and will be in for 8 years, Blair (or his govt) was elected thrice, and will be in for 10 years. What can I say? In a democracy, The People get the government They deserve. Actually Blair has already been in power for 10 years, and the labour gov't under his successor (Hmm, I wonder who?) has another couple of years to go before the next election. As for the gov't we deserve, well, what choice did we have? The Tories were an utter shambles for a long time, and have only just started to get their act together these last few years, and the Lib Dems were just not ready or able (IMO) to form even part of a coalition gov't. Charles Kennedy was driven to alcoholism under the pressures of running the third party in UK politics, just think what would have happened to him with any real responsibility! Idiots, idiots, idiots. As vegans they should know how much extra care they need to ensure a good diet. When they decided to bring a child into the world they should have known to research the subject, check with a doctor and find out how or even if it would be feasible to bring up the kid as a vegan. I don't fly wingsuits myself, so I don't know... but it seems like it makes more sense to pull higher with a wingsuit. More potential complications... more time to deal with them? Am I off base? No you're not. I personally am happy opening in my wingsuit at 3k like I do on other jumps (what other jumps?) - but I'm on a Sabre. If and when I downsize to a snivelly canopy with the potential to dive like a Xfire2 then I would certainly take my wingsuit deployment height back up a k or so. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Saying that global warming concerns should not stop us from providing African countries with fossil fuel powerstations is very different from saying global warming doesn't happen. If I downsized to a new, more agressive canopy and I couldn't stand up a simple straight in landing on it then you fucking bet I would upsize again! That's just basic common sense. Look at the info you've got - the guy writes like someone with very low jump No's, he's loading a canopy at 1.5, he hasn't stood it up yet and the people that know him told him he was crazy for downsizing so far.
