happened to me 6yrs ago: bought mom a boston terrier (very hyper dog), one night dog would NOT calm down, I ran her a lot but didn't feel like it that night - got a bright idea in my head to get a length of clothesline, tied it to the leash and let her run as FAST as she wanted around the block as I slowly drove my buick and held the leash with my left hand out the window - I was SAFE and neighborhood quiet and late....undercover pulls me over makes radio call...lights..patrol cars....onlookers....handcuffs...JAIL!!! GET THIS - the local paper published a COMPLETE lie the next day said I was "dragging the dog with leash tied to bumper" - judge read the charge "dragging an animal by car" and everyone in the courtroom gasped..the court reporter lady's hands went up to her mouth . This pissed me off so I got a local lawrocket, proved that I didn't do it (moled bumper/ personal references/ friendly dog warden) ... and won!!! ... The dog is still alive and loves me when I visit! and few more 'small' things since then -
