Hi Joe, Rumor has it that you have sold one of your Caravans. So, that begs the question: Are you going to replace it with a King Air? Jerry Baumchen -

Hi folks, Sometimes your actions have consequences: A former Trump administration State Department official has been sentenced to 70 months in prison for joining the violent Jan. 6 mob that pummeled police officers in the Capitol’s Lower West Terrace tunnel. Former Trump State Department official sentenced to 70 months for Jan. 6 assaults - POLITICO I hope he was not counting on that federal pension to take care of him in his old age. Jerry Baumchen -
Hi folks, And, Mitch makes the list again: Mitch McConnell warned Senate Democrats on Tuesday about issuing subpoenas . . . to conservative members of the Supreme Court, calling such a move “totally inappropriate.” McConnell tells Senate Democrats to back off on Supreme Court | The Hill Talk about being 2-faced. This, from the guy who refused to even entertain Obama's nominations. Mitch needs to be put out to pasture in some of that Kentucky blue grass. Jerry Baumchen

Hi John, I had not planned on re-writing the tax code for a discussion on here. I am well aware that going to only an income tax would mean changing a lot of how our taxes are collected. Which IMO should be accomplished. And, it is OK to disagree. Jerry Baumchen PS) Your Romney example is just one example of what is wrong with the current tax code. PPS) And, the GOP solution is: House GOP bill would give aid to Israel and cut IRS funding : NPR

How learn parachute manufacturing?
JerryBaumchen replied to David Peters's topic in Gear and Rigging
Hi David, First: Good luck Second: Do you want to mfr entire rigs; harness/container & canopies? Or just some components? As Wendy mentions, an extensive rigging course [ not some 3-5 day school ] is a very good start. Many schools also offer courses for people wanting to get their Master rigger rating. You might enquire about what they could teach you in a one-on-one type of training in building the equipment you are interested in. A number of current mfg people went to work for one of the big companies to learn; then went out on their own. Lots of ways to learn. Jerry Baumchen -

Hi John, As I continue to say: He is his own worst enemy. the former president derided the judge, Arthur Engoron, as “unhinged” and “an out of control ‘Nut Job,’” Trump lashes out at New York judge for order requiring Ivanka to testify - POLITICO It will be very interesting to see what Judge Engoron has to say about this one. Hi Joe, Re: I'd also want an agreement that he would never again in any forum claim the election was stolen Me thinks you ask too much: The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial accused the former president Wednesday of potentially violating the judge’s gag order a second time Trump’s latest insult prompts judge to weigh further penalties - POLITICO As I continue to say: He is his own worst enemy. We should be glad of that. Jerry Baumchen -
Chuck Akers wants you to know
JerryBaumchen replied to JoeWeber's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Hi Ken, A number of routine posters on this website support going after the gun mfrs for the deaths caused by what they make. Think about what would happen if a family went after a canopy mfr after a swooping death. Jerry Baumchen PS) IMO no waiver is absolute; at least not here in the good old USA. Any idea on how many lawyers graduate every year? -

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers
JerryBaumchen replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
Hi folks, Now, with Mark Meadows spilling his guts, I found this Letter to the Editor in today's NY Times quite interesting: To the Editor: The danger that the guilty pleas of Jenna Ellis, Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell poses to former President Donald J. Trump and his remaining co-defendants in the Georgia election case extends beyond their prospective testimony. Had early trials gone forward, it would have given counsel for the remaining defendants, including Mr. Trump, a crucial preview of the prosecution’s case against them. By depriving defense counsel of such a road map, the prosecutors will benefit from an element of surprise that they might otherwise have sacrificed. Moreover, the guilty plea of Ms. Ellis underscores yet another danger for Mr. Trump and his remaining co-defendants: The more defendants who plead guilty and agree to cooperate with prosecutors, the greater the pressure on those remaining to do likewise, especially considering the relatively lenient deals that Ms. Powell and Mr. Cheseboro received. Of course, that pressure will only increase if and when additional defendants take plea deals. How will this affect the fate of Mr. Trump and his remaining co-defendants? Only time will tell. Since this Letter to the Editor is available for viewing by any reader of the NY Times, I hope that I am not doing something wrong in publishing it here. I did leave out the writer's name.
