  6. Oh, man....like when I was in college and had had a BIG ol' crush for a LONG time on this one particular guy (again, won't name names).....well....when I finally did get with him....yep, you guessed it....pencil dick.... some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  7. You know those guys with pencil dicks (nobody in particular)? I just couldn't be with a guy like that, no matter how wonderful he was.....so for these guys, yeah.....it'd be very nifty to enhance the length and girth..... but for guys who are at least in the ballpark, just the way they are is fine..... Peace~ Lscribblescribble some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  8. There's a wing load calculator to make it easy on ya'....Click on safety link at the top some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  9. Skyhawk: nope...the brain does not control everything. Most of our reflex actions never go to the brain....and our brains only process the sensory stuff after the acting has happened. This semester is neuroscience.....I promise you, this info is pretty durn fresh.... For instance in a shortened version, the nail thing....small pain afferent fibers make direct connection with motor efferents in the spinal cord, which cause the motor reactions... some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  10. OOOOH! A friend sent me that same frog today with one of those uplifting messages in it......so I just sent this back to him..... Hee HEE....I love it! some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  11. Milo.....that's moved outside my fund of instant knowledge.....I'll think on it after I get through with this next biochem exam that I'm in the middle of preparing for right now.... And I'll let you know l what I come up with. That piques my interest too.... Lindsey some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  12. I don't think that there's a reflex pathway than involves vocalizations.....but I may be wrong about that.... some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  13. Well, you can't think faster than your brain can process, because thinking involves brain processing....but you can speak faster than your brain can process.....very similar pathway to the one I described involving the cerebellum..... some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  14. I only got 17.....so I don't rank up there with you boobie boys... but which do you prefer.....real ones or fake ones? Peace~ Lindsey some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  15. Those reflexes don't make it to the brain at all before you move.....and they're really cool reflex pathways too, that allow you to withdraw a, say foot from a nail, while extending the opposite foot.....all happens without any brain input.... some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  16. Well, actually you can perform an action faster than you can think it....if it's a learned behavior. Learned behaviors are nicely programmed into your cerebellum, and the pathway from your cerebellum to your frontal cortex (motor part of your brain) is faster than the pathways that modify those behaviors. That's why it's hard to unlearn bad habits.....like bad tennis strokes or something like that, or why we sign our names the same every time....or why you play licks unconsciously on the guitar and why you have to really slow down to get it right if you find out you've been playing it wrong.... 17. I was wondering what this 4:20 thing was....then my friend called me to wish me a late 4:20 and for advice on how to operate a particular piece of equipment....but that's neither here nor there......and I was like "What's up with 4:20?" Hee hee hee....I felt so out of the loop.....that's my story. some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  18. I am TOTALLY with you.....I find myself going insane! Hours upon hours upon hours of studying, but I figure it's worthwhile..... I do so look forward to May 17th when this school year is over.....ten exams between now and then, so it's gonna be a hellacious month.....much of my study materials are on CD, and I at least get to bounce back and forth to see what's going on in the real world....! Then.....did I say it again....3 MONTHS OFF!!!!! YIPPEE some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  19. I know the thread isn't about circumcision, and I'll only make a brief comment. There are a LOT of medical professionals today, who do not agree that there is ANY medical benefit to male circumcision. In fact, many medical schools are teaching that circumcision is unnecessary, and may, in fact, be harmful... People who advocate circumcision because of medical reasons are losing their argument these days.....and circumcisions that are performed are done more for cultural than for medical reasons. The neonates sensory pathways are intact, and, yes it's painful. some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  20. Now billvon.....you're taking that a little bit too far.... For me it's birks or tennis shoes.... I do own a pair of black shoes and a pair of brown shoes for special occasions..... And as far as football goes, may of us women grew up on the football fields of America too.....now I call THAT patriotic (somehow it seems to fit, I guess....standing up for your rights as a WOMAN) Peace~ Lindsey D something or other 1st girl in Fordyce, AR to play Little League Baseball. some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley

  23. Private Pilot Issue.....as far as skydiving goes, we really are kind of in the sticks, here in Arkansas.....I don't jump at Rex's place, but I only have good things to say about them..... I imagine that they were using a private pilot because it's really hard to find people to fly jumpers.....I'm not saying it's okay, but that sometimes if ya' want to jump, ya' don't question who's flying..... You should've been out to jump with us at the Patch! Trees (with a gap, of course, for the plane to fit through) at one end, and a big ditch.... Power lines at the other end....about 3000' runway. On those really hot summer days, on down wind takeoffs, with a full load, if we weren't up by the time we reached the hump in the runway, that's when takeoff was aborted. What memories..... Now we jump at airports with big ol' huge long paved runways....sometimes I'm still amazed at all the breathing room. However....at Rex's place, I think the runway's like 2800'......I don't recall there being trees at one end though....apparently there are trees somewhere? Of course the Cessna's trashed now, but they still have the Beech! some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  24. THE CAT YEARS by Adair Lara I just realized that while children are dogs--loyal and affectionate--teenagers are cats. It's so easy to be a dog owner. You feed it, train it, boss it around. It puts its head on your knee and gazes at you as if you were a Rembrandt painting. It bounds indoors with enthusiasm when you call it. Then, around age 13, your adoring little puppy turns into a big old cat. When you tell it to come inside, it looks amazed, as if wondering who died and made you emperor. Instead of dogging your footsteps, it disappears. You won't see it again until it gets hungry--then it pauses on its sprint through the kitchen long enough to turn its nose up at whatever you're serving. When you reach out to ruffle its head, in that old affectionate gesture, it twists away from you, then gives you a blank stare, as if trying to remember where it has seen you before. You, not realizing that the dog is now a cat, think something must be desperately wrong with it. It seems so antisocial, so distant, sort of depressed. It won't go on family outings. Since you're the one who raised it, taught it to fetch and stay and sit on command, you assume that you did something wrong. Flooded with guilt and fear, you redouble your efforts to make your pet behave. Only now you're dealing with a cat, so everything that worked before now produces the opposite of the desired result. Call it, and it runs away. Tell it to sit, and it jumps on the counter. The more you go toward it, wringing your hands, the more it moves away. Instead of continuing to act like a dog owner, you can learn to behave like a cat owner. Put a dish of food near the door, and let it come to you. But remember that a cat needs your help and your affection too. Sit still, and it will come, seeking that warm comforting lap it has not entirely forgotten. Be there to open the door for it. One day, your grown-up child will walk into the kitchen, give you a big kiss and say, "You've been on your feet all day. Let me get those dishes for you." Then you'll realize your cat is a dog again. some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
  25. Just remember, it could be worse.....it could've been like that guy's ankle (bone) that I saw a few weekends ago.....bloody, muddy bone stickin' through isn't a pretty sight..... Sorry about your ankle, though.....it stinks to have to hobble around and stuff.....you'll get back in the air soon enough, though..... Peace~ Lindsey some days it's just not worth gnawing through the straps http://home.earthlink.net/~linzwalley
