Happy birthday, Ian!!!

Are you, or is someone you know, a foot-bouncer?
kelel01 replied to SpeedRacer's topic in The Bonfire
I do it. It's usually nerves, or just excess energy. Or sometimes it's me dancing to music only I can hear. -
Happy birthday, Laura!

Holy shit! Congratulations, Laura and John! I'm so happy for you!

Happy birthday, Rich!

Easy. Boys are weird.

You have a strange outlook. All sports are constantly evolving. This is just an evolution of gymnastics. It might work; it might not. Live and learn.
-
Again, I think you're just trying to get my goat. It doesn't mean nothing - neither means nothing. Both mean a lot. But they have increased the value of difficulty relative to the value of execution.
-
Yeah, you're right. Having perfect execution in Olympic gymnastics means nothing. Now, people like Nastia Liukin can pump their routine full of difficulty, fall on their dismount, and still win a gold medal. If anything, THAT'S the problem with the new system (although personally I don't think there's a problem at all).
-
And there is NO SUCH THING as a loser who scores a perfect 10, just FYI.
-
And the people with greater difficulty receive a greater reward. In case you didn't notice, there's now a HUGE disparity in difficulty scores, where previously there wasn't. So what's the problem?
-
I'm going to assume that you're just being a pain to be a pain.
-
I hope you're being sarcastic. Performing a perfect routine is damn near impossible. If they can do it, they deserve to see a 10 on the board - even if it doesn't win them anything.
-
I like the new system. One score for difficulty + one score for execution (which is still on a 10.0 scale) = total score. Previously, you had to have a very difficult routine to even have a possibility of earning a 10, and now anyone could possibly get one (on execution) . . . it's not likely, but it's possible again. I had to get used to it, but I like it now.

It did take me a while to remember how to get the toggles off (that was almost another post in this forum), but scissors never even entered my consciousness. Some people . . . Thanks so much for all the input, guys!
-
Yeah, I did remember to take off the pop-top.

Thanks, everybody! That's what I thought. Of course, I didn't think of it until AFTER I boxed it up (with the freebag and PC), but at least it came to me before I sent it.
-
I sold my reserve to a friend, and before I box it up, I need to know what normally goes with a reserve, compared to what stays with the container. Could someone please tell me which items (if any) I should send from the list below (and suggest others, if necessary)? Toggles Freebag Pilot Chute Repack Card Thank you!

I do need to add something to that. I was actually rooting for Rampage, but only by a bit - so I won't say I wanted Forrest to take advantage of the leg kicks, but it was obvious it should be done. Also, I am just a tad surprised to see that Rampage didn't win, and especially surprised that 2 judges took a point away from him, and that one judge only had him winning one round. I think there might have been some UFC politics involved. But Forrest sure does have a chin on him - damn!!!

Wow. This might be the first time I've ever agreed with every word you said.

Happy birthday, Hippie! I miss you guys so much! Hope you're not making your own dinner tonight!

I miss you, too, girl! Have a good one!
