  1. Erno, Sorry the sizing chart doesn´t make sense to you right now. As a rapidly growing company that makes many products, canopies and containers, to the sport, military and tandem markets I can only remind people of the word growing. We designed certain sizes of certain products and have done quite well with those. While saying that, I´ll also point out we are a work in progress and are developing new size containers and container/canopy combinations to alleviate the sizing concerns some people have (while working on a multitude of other projects.) We´re planning on releasing a new canopy soon (you may have seen some ads, some right here on dz.com) that will cater to the more ´advanced` skydiver in you and I would be willing to bet you may find a container size to suit your needs at about the same time the new canopy is ready for public consumption. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact any Aerodyne rep on dz.com via PM, contact our European rep ([email protected]) via email, visit our website to contact our departments or call one of our offices (information is on the website.) Thanks and hope you can wait a little more before investing your money in a new system. Jody
  2. If you go back to our website, on the support page, in technical and service bulletins you'll find a letter (title: Aerodyne reserve soft link) allowing the use of Aerodyne soft links on your Tempo. As Aerodyne soft links are a separate TSO'ed component, you can use them on any manufacturers reserve canopy as long as they are approved by that canopy manufacturer. For instructions on assembling the links look in the Icon manual (next column over on the support page under manuals) on page 11 or on page 10 in the Aerodyne main manual or page 7/8 of the Smart manual. Aerodyne Research requires reserve soft links to be tacked and strongly recommends main links are tacked. Any more questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks. Jody [email protected] Jody

  4. The link below is to our description of the Miniforce from a previous PIA seminar: http://www.aerodyne-int.com/download/miniforce.pdf It probably isn't as technically heavy as you need it to be so send me an email at: [email protected] And I'll forward your questions to our technical departments. Jody
  5. The container manufacturer decides what canopy fits in which container. You're buying a Racer so having us send the canopy to them to get the container built around it would be best. Call whoever you ordered the Smart through and tell them you want the canopy drop shipped to Jump Shack, they will take care of the rest. Thanks. Jody

  8. Try calling the dropzone loft, Paragone Rigging 813 779 0239. They are on site full time and could do the work for you. Don't blame them for charging more, they are shifting the work that showed up on time for yours, deserves some kind of extra charge. If you call ahead of time, they may be able to schedule it and not charge more but don't quote me. Jody
  9. Sunshine Factory at Zhills has demos in most sizes of a lot of helmets. Call 813 788 9831 if you are after a specific type. Jody
  10. It always changes so you never know. But 14 is the max it will take to get into your hands. Jody
  11. Hello Fabian, When the Icon was introduced, the I1-I3 came standard with cut-ins and the I4-I7 did not. The thinking was that larger people usually jump larger containers and cut-ins 'could' be uncomfortable. After some feedback, we have redesigned the I4 and are updating the I5-I7 to have cut-ins. So as of now, the I1-I4 have cut-ins and in the future, all Icons will come standard with a cut-in back pad. On a side note, had it not been for customer feedback, we may not have responded so quickly to what people wanted. You have a direct influence on the evolution of this sport and without questions like this, we could still be jumping PC's and Sweet Hogs. Thank you for your interest. Jody Aerodyne Research Jody
  12. While working at the loft at Skydive City, a girl from Canada came in with a rig resized for her using E thread. She had put 40 jumps on it at her home DZ and nothing had happened. The four of us that saw it, including the manufacturer, almost fainted when we saw it. Using the above example, the harness was 'strong' enough but I wouldn't put my dog in something like that. 13. I would personally recommend you go for the Smart 160. The next size up is a 175 and not really comparable with the Tempo 170. The best answer will obviously come from Sunrise but I think they'll probably give you the 160. Jody Conn Aerodyne Research 12649 Race Track Rd. Tampa FL 33626 813.891.6300 813.891.6315 fax Jody
  14. Marco, The mark should be at the bottom of the knot; on the brake line side, not the excess side. Form the loop, place the knot up to the mark and then fingertrap the excess. This is the factory recommended length although you may feel this is too short or too long for how you wish to fly your canopy so adjust it as necessary. Hope this helps. Enjoy. Jody
  15. Jason, Here is a breakdown of the price and time frame: Lineset $175 Installation $50 Return shipping $15 Total $240 2-3 weeks to produce @ Aerodyne Systems 1 week shipping from AS to Aerodyne Research 7-10 days to install here 3-4 days to ship to you Total 4-6 weeks The wait is due to the fact that it is a discontinued PISA product and we give such a margin to include down time from hurricanes, national holidays (in both countries), etc... We don't carry the specs for their canopies because they are not our canopies. It would make about as much sense as keeping the specs and building linesets for Nitrons, Spectres, or FXs made by other manufacturers. I know Mike at Skydivegear/ Chuting Star has several linesets in stock, but you would have to check with him on size, availability, and time constraints. [email protected] 770-684-9910 As far as having a local rigger do it, they would have to order the lineset through us or Aerodyne Systems but you may save some time and money on installing it, I don't know. And last, my personal feeling is always send it back to the manufacturer as they generally know more about the product, any updates or design changes, etc... Sorry we cannot be of any more assistance in this matter but let us know if you are still sending it in. Jody Conn Aerodyne Research [email protected] 813 891 6300 12649 Race Track Rd.
