  1. But once the ambulance is onsite, medical attention usually begins right away. You may be able to drive someone to the hospital in a shorter amount of time than waiting for an ambulance to arrive, but there is no guarantee that medical attention will begin immediately after you get to the hospital. So I think it's generally a toss-up as to which one is the best idea. This is true that medical attention can start right away, but I have been on a few calls where we meet the family enroute to the hospital and transfered the patient from the car to our ambulance on the side of the road, thi saved the patient time in getting care as the pateint was a rural person living 15 miles in the country from the town, the drive time would have been a solid 20 mins with no traffic that is 2o minutes out of the golden hour just to reach them. as it was meeting them gave that person an extra 10-15 mins as I recall. 2. Bravo to you shaun. I made my own kit, even fabricated some of the tools myself thus saving even more money. Fids made out of knitting needles from salvation army are cheaper then those purcahsed! Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  3. cool stuff, I am going to hit some cahces today! The ticks are coming out already here in the midwest though, that makes spring time geo hunting a bit more intresting, had 3 on me yesterday. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  4. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/bfs/1035657788.html This one is on craigs list, I called and spoke with dennis the guy selling these machines. He has only one machine that has reverse and the rest are all straight stitch. a few singers, wilcox and union standard make up the rest. these machines came from a puppet manufactuer out of Hutchison Ks. I hope this helps those looking for a machine find what they want. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com

  9. Actually, you are not correct. It is school dependant, and I have looked up several here in the Kansas City Area. So he is actually somewhat correct then if it is school dependant. some schools require it others don't. is that right? Now... if some of you wish to continue a pissing contest about who is smartest or better or whatever you feel that you might be proving, go for it. But I'm backing out of it. No pissing contest from me, I am just a small time ems provider, my knowledge base is very limited. But I want to give credit to Chriopractors where it is due as they do go through extensive training and education process and are often just called bone crakers, poppers or witch doctors. I am not going to get into a pissing match about this either but it is a well known fatc that the american medical society did what they could for years upon years to opress Chriopractic health care and some of that is justifiable in that some Chriopractors like my cousins husband is a nut job and needs to stop preaching his doctrine that he can cure just about any disease with spinal manipualtion but the infomation is there now and some times MD's, DO's just don't want to let it go. Dr B has stated that she is pro chriopratic and I beleive her whole heartedly and she was just presenting info and I don't think she did so in an arrogant manner. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com

  11. Yeah I have seen a few of those as well, but these are really going the way of the circut city that was a few blocks from here and near these stores as well. My wife and I have been taking bets on what stoers in what strip malls by us are doomed and how soon they will fall. whats amazing to me is that in other parts of our city the building of new malls in still going on when stores like these can't survive. I don't understand the desier to develope in areas that yet do not have infrastuctire like roads. You would think they are moving to avaiod a tax like a city tax but it's still within the same city.. puzzeling to me really. www.greenboxphotography.com
  12. Could not help but notice the "signs" of the time today, okay the last few weeks! These photos where taken in the Johnson county area of Kansas city today. Think the stimulas plan is going to help this? right after taking these photos I stopped in a local cstore in the same nice area of town and was asked if I could spare a .25 cents, beggers are usally not in this area of town. what a day of perspectives. Norwalk furniture, Office depot and pier 1, all feeling the axe. www.greenboxphotography.com
  13. Having grown up in a chrio family, (grandfather, father and now wife) I would have to say yes they can help in some aspects. How ever there are kooks in the chrio field of medicine that say they can cuer aids, my Cousins husband is one of those and flat out he is a kook that is hurting teh profession. Chriopractors can be thier own worst enemys as none of the schools can agree one one philospohy or explain why chriopratic adjustments work, they simply don't know! I see my MD, think he is okay, I see my GI Doctor and think he is the best, My dentisit is the by far the best Dentisit I have ever had. I also get chriopractic care as it's part of the totale health care of myself, all are essintial to my health care. Good luck in what you seek, have an open mind and make sure you get opinions of all kinds to better understand whats available to you. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
  14. you can buy green houses, maybe costco, sams club or harbor frieght has them already to go and you just assemble. My friend is tottally into this stuff, he is one of those mother earth news type gurus for a ton of my questions. his green house is conntected to his home, the back side of his green house has 55gal drums stacked upon each other and they have hoses that run to each drum and the drums are filled with water. The days sun heast the water and then at night that heat is passed back into the green house keeping it warm, he rarely has to heat the green house with fossil fuels in the winter. this heat also passes into his house during the winter cutting his needs to heat the home. in the summer he drains the barrels so not to over heat the green house. most of the water is storred into his well and then pumped back into the barrles the next winter, he also cacthes all rain water from his house, greenhouse and shed, that water is run into the well for yard use and refilling the barrels. None of this may be practical for you, but you should be able to find prefab greenhosues in mother earth news, craigs list? and you should be able to buy a water catching drum at your local garden store and use that water for the green house and they may have green house info. sadly enought he city I live in restricts greenhouses so I have to wait until I move to build one. in tough economis times it would be nice to have your own food source and check out getting a warm composter as well, these things are awesome and make dirt for your garden. 15. but once posted to facebook, photobucket or like pages the photo can be used by the owners of those sites, read the agreement when you sign up for those type of sites. currently virgin mobile is using a photo in an advert that they got from google who owns a photo hosting site, google took the photo from a young mans site without asking him simply because he agreed to this when he signed up, but the girl in the photo had no idea he took the pic and she did not give virgin mobile permission to use her as a model. copyrights are complexd. 16. Andy Warhol would be pleased, but in fact...Jimmy wouldn't make a pimple on Chuck Norris's ass. Jimmy's got 11 minutes and 13 seconds of fame left, better use it wisely! The only reason I know who "Jimmy Coiner" is.... is because of skydive radio. who the FRACK is Jimmy Coiner is not too far off base! But you know who he is now! he is legendary and thats all there is to it. try as you might, you can't change the fact you know the name, have heard of him and now you have seen the video. Joe Nope, in order to pass the 'legend' test, he has to be around longer than a popcorn fart in a hurricane...don't see that happening. I think if we did a search you may find that some of these Jimmy threads are at least two years old, is that longer then a popcorn fart in a huricane? www.greenboxphotography.com

  21. So I went to my Chem class, the first of our three new teachers is french and in the words of the flying circus, he has an "outrageous accent". I think I am going to drop the class and just retake it this summer. Joe www.greenboxphotography.com

  23. So today i go back to school, my Chem teacher quit in the 2nd week of school with last friday being his last day. The school does not have a replacement for him so the other 3 teachers are filling in. Is this normal for schools to do? am I going to get a losuy education from having 3 teachers trying to teach the same material? I go to this class 5 days per week, this means I will have teacher 1 on m/t, teacher 2 on w/thur and teacher 3 on friday is what i am being told. I am open minded to the idea that having 3 teachers could be a good thing in that I may click with ones teaching style if I need any help, but am a bit leary of this 3 teachers thing.. thoughts? 24. Maybe I can pm Martin to fill in some Kansas blanks, but I will start the lost Kasnas dz's with the place that i started at. Mid American sky sports in Garnett Kansas, there are several more but I am not sure of the dates so I will leave those to who know. Garnett went out in the early 90's. Dennis Anderson had told me one time of a Pittsbug state (pittsburg ks) college club, he and Jim Sours took all the club money and purcahsed beer with it, that was of course in Pittsburg ks. Martin, your turn.. you guys out West had more DZ's like Kingman, Eureka and ??? Joe www.greenboxphotography.com
