Our government DOES mean to kill people and they DO it on a very frequent basis. One major difference between our government and other governments is that ours is better at hiding the evil acts that they commit.

I have seen the video, and yes it is one of the nastiest things i have ever seen. But why is it all these types of videos are always real grainy, almost blurry? This one to the point where you cant make out the victims face 100%...They are technical enough to upload a video to a server and post it to the internet, (which is kind of a strange action for a group of terrorists) but they cant take a clear video? I am not saying whether or not i believe it is real or fake, I just dont know. Just wanting to bring up a point that crossed my mind... forgot to mention...asked my coworker where they heard this and apparently the story is making the rounds on talk radio...

Coworker just got back from lunch and told me that apparently the latest rumors are that the beheading video is fake and is a ploy by the CIA to draw attention away from the prison abuse photos...Examples cited... Berg was in a prisoners uniform but he apparently was not a prisoner The chair that he is seen sitting in at one point is similar to a chair in some of the prison abuse photos The Iraqis in the video are to large (physically) compared to the average Iraqi Paint on the wall matches paint on the walls seen in the prisons where the abuse has taken place One of the Iraqis has trouble reading from a piece of paper he is holding Their accents are not accurate Did not hear this myself, heard from a co-worker...so, could this be true? What are your thoughts? What a world of shit we live in!

Is it just me or is the process of buying a brand new rig enough to drive you nuts? I am getting ready to buy a Mirage G4 and i just cant seem to finish the process for all the specs without getting super frustrated...There has got to be an easier way!!!

Students with only a couple of jumps dont know the difference between a good spot and a bad spot. Students are told to listen to their instructors, they are told to ask them for advice, they are told to ask them if they are not sure of something. Students rely on their jumpmasters to teach them how to survive in this crazy ass sport we partake in. I believe spotting on the first couple of AFF levels are the jms responsibility. I was always told to wait for my instructor to check the spot, and then to climb out when they gave the signal. How is a student supposed to be responsible for their spot when they are following the guidance of a trusted instructor? Plus, would a student with only a couple of jumps even know the difference between a bad spot and a good spot??? If the spot is bad i believe it is the instructors responsibility not to let the student jump. If students start questioning their jm's spotting, what else will they start questioning? Yes, at the end of the day nobody holds a gun to our heads to make us jump, we choose to do so. Students do need professional guidance though, and they depend on their jm's for that. just bringing up some points here, at the end of the day though, I would not sue. whoooahh....just checked the original posters bio...didnt know he had 167 jumps....my comments only refer to someone with a couple of jumps, if he is referring to someone with 167 jumps then he is freakin crazy...

How can you pass judgement as to how i handled the situation when you are here asking everyone else how the situation should have been handled??? Dude, dont be a jackass. Let me ask you this? If I couldnt handle the situation then generally that means I wouldnt have walked away from it. Tell me brainchild, how would you have handled it? Oh yeah, i wont expect a response because you are waiting for people to tell you what you should have done.

You comment on my basic skydiving knowledge and then follow that statement up with a question about front risering??? Isnt that somewhat Ironic. Think about it. The purpose of front risering is to increase your forward movement, both vertically and horizontally. Obviously the winds play a part in how much horizontal movement you will achieve. Would it have gotten me back any quicker, from that altitude no because of the winds. Would it help at a lower altitude where the winds were not that strong, perhaps...however, my vertical movement would also be increasing at the same time my horizontal movement was increasing, thus defeating the purpose of gaining maximum horizontal movement to make it back. Generally when you are long, riding the rear risers is what you do to provide maximum flight to make it back. Once again though, this all depends on the winds you are dealing with.

The fact that I originally made a comment that I wanted to jump from a lower altitude to try and avoid a terminal opening because of my knee. At which point Ostrich informed me that the opening would be no different from normal altitude. I then agreed with him and went to normal altitude. I have never been an unsafe skydiver and have never participated in an unsafe skydive. With that said, I am still waiting to hear what made me an unsafe skydiver on that particular day???????????

If you knew me and had jumped with me and knew firsthand that I was an unsafe skydiver I would have no problem with your comments. I for one, and the same goes for some other people that I know, have realized that your posts have reached the deepest depths of desparation. Its ok though, you and Ostrichs will continue to live your lives as asses (I said it, you confirmed it) and we will all go on and live to breathe another day. The only question I have for you is to expand a little on the "Be glad no one threatened to shoot me in the face" comment???? Where did that come from and what the hell is that supposed to mean??? Anxiously awaiting your friendly response...... Recommendation / Suggestion for you...You openly admit Ostrich is an ASS and is annoying, abrasive, and obnoxious. You also admit to being an ASS at times. Being instructors (and this is my opinion) may I suggest it may be in your best interest to change your general attitudes. Who knows, I could be wrong. Ask around, you may find I am right. I promise I will do my best to not be a dumbass since that is apparently what I am according to you (who I have never met or spoken word one to).
