  1. I would never have made it in the sport if it had not been for my mentors.My biggest mentor being my Rigger
  2. PM Hooknswoop,he is a Rigger and can advice on this.I have minor mods done on my rig,but I have worked closely with my Rigger ( FAA Master Rigger )to do this correctly. I know what I like and he is able to make it work without playing with any of the approved designs. If your Riser covers / Main Flap are coming open,then some changes will have to done.I cant think of anything worse than an exposed Pin or Risers creeping down over your shoulders during a skydive.Recipe for Disaster.
  3. yeah fair one....makes alot of sense.I used to do a bit of Board jumping years ago and I asked a DZ owner if it was ok at the DZ to jump it ( it wasn't common back then ). His reply was " I dont care if you ride on the back of a dead sheep as long as its TSO'd "

  13. How it should be.....you guys have got some decent Laws over there.In the UK we had a guy imprisoned for 3 years for shooting a burglar inside his house. I wish our justice system would take yours as an example.It seems here they are designed to protect the criminal. 357 mag is one hell of a punch,I keep a shotgun in the house and would use it without hesitation.Well done old guy!!

    bull torturers

    I went to a slaughter house a few years back ,out of curiousity,I managed to get a tour when they where fully at work,so you can imagine... I have seen the cow from get stunned,then butchered ,all within minutes,and some of the tools these guys use make ' Jason' look like childs play. Just a thought really,but I wonder if anyone seen this ,would it change there view on eating meat? I try to maintain a healthy diet and try to cut out as much meat as possible.But after my visit,it was a few weeks before I touched Beef or Lamb again !!

    Whuffo = ?

    This is the funny thing about it but...... You cannot lable anyone based on jumps or whatever.....I wrote a paper on this for my Sociology Degree..I tried to understand how and why you get labled and why you fall into a certain definition or ' group'. I found 'A geek' is someone who is all brightly coloured ..But again depends on who you speak too...and where you are in the world.So it was very difficult to get an exact meaning...based on the above. But the terms are not degradatory in any respect.Also the lableing terminology changes for whatever disapline you do.eg Crew Dog ? if so why not Freefly Dog ? Peace
