  1. Sorry Ari, been there, done that... see attached.
  2. My guesses would be traffic, wind changes direction and speed (drastically) at different altitudes, or an occassional new jump pilot shows up at the DZ and isn't sure which way 360 is.
  3. Did a "T" and a standup on my first solo. But played with back flying, RW, tracking, and head-down until about 80 or 90 jumps. It was clear that coaching was an absolute must at about 100 jumps. Are you comfortable trusting your altimeter entirely? Can you go through a jump and not look at the ground much? My advise would be to get comfortable on your back while feeling the cause and effect of the air on your body. Learn to use the air to your advantage. And get some coaching as early as possible. Coach jumps (or any kind of ground advise) at first is essential to understanding freefly compared to belly. You will be surprised how much you will learn in the first few sessions with an experienced freeflyer. Not just in what they tell you, or seeing them fly in front of you, but in their approach to a very special discipline. I think you will also be surprised how much the state of mind you are in will effect your flying.
  4. Welcome to a different planet than the one you were living on. Enjoy the new life. Blue Sky's.
  5. "year(s)" ---- plural?? You better get back out there. We need more cuties in our sky's!!
  6. Hey dude!!! What's up? Look me up at the DZ. We gotta get you into freefly after you get going a bit. Wooohoo and good luck!!
  7. Do they show up in northern California? I may have when I was about 12 years old, but didn't know what it was and I was alone.
  8. Uhmmmm..... I don't think a JOB is going to cure what you have. Good luck silly.
  9. Dear Skyvixen, Do us all a favor please... Were it and use it. Thanks, David
  10. I am about to give my upgraded VOODOO to a rigger this weekend. They asked if the manual was coming in the mail with it. I'm not really sure, so I thought to check the site. It isn't there. Will the Talon manual suffice for a rigger who hasn't done a Voodoo before?
  11. Wondering if they have it somewhere in a .pdf (or other kind) format. I looked on the site, but did not see it. Can anyone help me find a PC version packing manual for the Voodoo by Rigging Innovations?
  12. Stuey is old-school. Team Methane are the reigning smelly butts this year. First loads of the day have been tough this season. ooooooooooohhhhh boy!!!
  13. SA-WEEEEET!!! I'm jealous. You guys are further along than us. Freefall currency will go through the roof - NATIONWIDE!!! ps. Actually Stacy, the new tunnel in Jersey is going to have its air recirculated. Thereby allowing for heating efficiency. Nothing like Jersey freefalling in winter with warm air. Yeppeeeee!
  14. Can't you get a dual citizenship?
  15. Good thinkig!!! Yeah, he is still around. I will definitely run it by him. Thanks Stacy.
  16. Never said I was holding my breath though. It would only be nice. Being that I live in the area, I will say that the outlook is quite good (knock-on-wood). The state is investing a lot of money into the area where they are planning the arena. Major incentives for these kinds of things around here these days. I have little doubt that it will actually go up (or at least, get started); more skeptical about the duration of the finished product. Ground has already been broken and it is expected to be completed in February. That isn't much time at all so there isn't any reason to be pessimistic about it. One of the differences between your link and mine is that yours is to be finished in 1998 and this one is 2004. Let's continue to hope for the best.
  17. I love to look at pics of people with GREAT jump energy. I can feel the excitement while lookin at your face in those pics. Thanks... I wanna jump now.
  18. No time like the present to find out how to get both. It sounds like you have a good idea and a great location. What are you waiting for? Nothing like investing other peoples money for you and hiring people to think for you too. If you look closely at the XArena web site, you will see that this is precisely what they are doing. Yep.
  19. That would be funny. I start out doing a tracking dive on my back, and before you know it, all the lady-flyers are tracking up front - hard-corps! ... and the guys are tacking in another direction. CAUSE I AM NAKED!!! On a more serious note, thanks for the tip, I plan on using the RIT color removal - for use of lightening colors before dying. Got it from Michael's Arts and Crafts.
  20. I have a G3 and would argue that a G4 is just not worth the extra $$$.
  21. I think the bottom left would compliment your rig really well. The grey shoulder harness and leg straps are going to need a contrasting blue backdrop. Just my 2-cents. -DC
  22. Need help here. I have a really great flying Tony Suit. But I can't stand the color anymore. It is like a denim-colored suit and is quite corny looking. I have managed to bleach it a shade lighter. I am planning on bleaching it one more time and using a color remover to make it even lighter. By the time I am done, it will probably be a baby blue. I would like to tye-dye the suit after it gets light. Can you give me any tye-dye ideas? What is the best way to go about tye-dying? Liquid or Powder? Twisting, Crumpling, or any other way? Please feel free to email me with your answers too; be glad to call and talk about it. Thanks ahead.
