Best Work Boots - Need advice from people who work in boots.
mrhoop replied to DJL's topic in The Bonfire
Timberland Pro Alot of there steel toe boots are waterproof also. Expect 100$ or more. -
I spent three years in the 82nd airborne division. If you like jumping static line mostly at night, at 800 feet AGL with full combat equipment you will have fun. Most of my jumps were with a T-10C round parachute. I never worried about the chute not opening, just how hard I will hit the ground. You will need to be a good runner to get through jump school.

It is good to stay current. 73 jumps in four years is not staying very current. Jump more often.

Packing Sucks......Packing Sucks.......Packing Sucks!!!
mrhoop replied to LGreg34's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
bunge has a good point. you have to use your hands and knees to put it in the bag. If you have been watching a packer, dont just look at there hands. -
You got lied to. There were no adult throwing mud at the kids. I had to move away from the kids, so I would not get pied.

In the early 90's i watched lots of tax payers money burn in like those vids. It is an awesome site when you are there live.

Say you are pipefitter, doctor, etc. If someone asks you what you do for work, and you are not employed at that time, you are still a pipefitter, doctor, or whatever. If you got you "A" and quit, your still a skydiver.

I need a answer to this question that has been bugging me.

If you did not have a main and reserve out you could not have a double mal.(ever) I think if you had any parachute attatched (to you), it would be hard to track to your pit. Are you sure about the drugs. -

They a still around. If you want a suit, it is easier to go through a dealer. There web site has been under construction for a long time.

Alot of people are and have been there. If you got the money, make more skydives. Thats my stress reliever.

It dont matter how much you paid, or color or bottle. A 12-pack of beer will get the average male drunk.

AS long as the speaker is not muffled by helmet liner, and it is set to high, it ought to be very loud. Check it to another one, or get an audiogram. You might not hear to good, in that ear.

Go to the USPA website, then go to Shop. There is a "starting a DZ" packet. It may help, but it is not free. -
Nice ride. I think you should sell it for a truck.

My fav little thing is money. Without it you will not have any other little thing.

My POS 1/4 or less will go through lots of mud. My 3/4 chevy needs work, but its only 2wd.

Perris has a wind tunnel. If I was just starting out, I would probably go there.

It was a really nice try of hitting the pea's. Better luck next time. Blue skies.

Always wear mine. I dont want to pay fine for not wearing. It would cut into jump money.

On a solo "belly" you should be in a good spot, right before the freefliers. You could also exit after freefliers, before the students. If you jump with a group, hopefully you or they can keep you fall rate.

It sounds like you need to do more than one or two jumps on Saturday. If that is your only jump day try five or more. I dont think bad weather is keeping you #'s down. I live in Texas, and can easily make over 100 a year.
