I'm pretty sure that a lot of folks don't understand that it's not a "gospel" song, even though it may sound like one. I was surprised by the number of church groups, youth singers, etc. covering it as a gospel/inspirational-type song. There are plenty of other verses to choose from that may be open to interpretation. Yeah, those lyrics are kind of weird coming from an young child. But my post was only to point out the girl's talent. I think this girl does sing mostly religious songs, so I doubt her parents (and a lot of other folks) are reading much beyond the biblical references in the song.

...(Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah), and I'm listening to various covers when I ran across this one Rhema Marvanne. Not bad for an 8-year-old kid.

I know this guy is supposed to be a great song-writer, but how do you write a song like "Copacabana" and not slip the word "banana" in there somewhere? Sheesh!

Seriously!? The only examples you could come up with were two examples of crazy Lefties who were falsely, or by insinuation, tied to Tea Party Conservatives? There's your hate crime. The only one I can think of off hand is the Norwegian case. The Lefties had a field day with that one, even though he was a "right-winger" in the European "national socialist" sense.

I'm getting about 58 mph at sea level, or ~100 mph for V(t) at 10000 ft. for a ~11 lb. tabby, falling in a reasonably stable, modified frog ...depending on how much fur is flapping. -
Eight congressional committees find no wrongdoing. So they'll keep calling witnesses until someone tells the lies they want to hear. Sounds like the seemingly endless vote recounts down here in Fla in 2000. It was becoming obvious that only one "recount" was going to be accepted by the Dems and they weren't going to stop counting until they heard the lie they wanted to hear. They actually succeeded in Minn. with Franken. (Point of interest - the 2000 election recount coverage was when I first became aware of Lyin' Brian's bias in reporting.)

What is the largest caliber weapon you have fired?
muff528 replied to riggerrob's topic in Speakers Corner
Largest caliber handgun - .45 ACP, .45 Long Colt Largest caliber rifle - .44 mag. (not counting .54 cal black powder, maybe a musket rather than rifle, can't remember.) Baddest rifle I've fired - .340 Weatherby Magnum. Largest bore - 12 ga. slug. 1.5" pvc potato gun. (well, it is the largest and it is a firearm in some places) -

Pats discredited themselves years ago by not firing Belichick after the previous cheating incident. My disdain for the Patriots goes all the way back to Snowplowgate.

C'mon now! You were both starting to sound like a couple of rival junior high school girls exchanging compliments.

Absolutely, no contest there! You've got more than ten times the views. All yours is missing is the Hot Thread Icon. We all need to band together to get that on there! Nice shot!

Yeah, I already commented on this nonsense up-thread.

Yes, from post #93: "If you read my posts with any comprehension, you might understand I was commenting on the CDC and this administration's failed immigration policy, and using a recent, high-profile event to only to make the point. You guys ran with the notion that I was disparaging illegal immigrants aspect from there." That explanation was referring to that exact comment. You can take it for what you will.

Neither. It was the sudden increase in Andrew Wakefield Thanks, that does make sense.
