  1. Allowed to punch clouds, huh? Last time I heard the regs we still had clearance requirements!! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  2. I've never done that! And I never went on a delivery with my driver just because I knew he was making one within 10 miles of the dropzone... and it wasn't my premier jump on my unused canopy... And I didn't tell him that if I f%$ked myself up he had to go back to the shop without me and that he didn't know anything... AND I never used the excuse of going to make a sales call TO the dropzone in order to sell them some Boeing-approved aircraft wash and just end up jumping the rest of the day instead...
  3. It also lets me to leave all the sh*t that I deal with on a daily basis where I can catch back up with it after my stress relief... (ON the ground). It is a continual challenge against myself: to fly my body better, to put my feet down EXACTLY where I want, to pack nice softies on heading every time, and also to see how much money I can spend at the DZ and still manage to eat for the rest of the week... I get to geek my buddies while flyin 150mph. I get the satisfaction of putting myself in a (relatively) dire situation and come out smelling like I normally do ...unless I happen to land in a cattle feedlot...which I never have.
  4. I only spent 27 years there before moving to colorado. I'll go back to visit once in a while... but I don't miss it. I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  5. Know the feeling allllllll too well. Still feeling it from October, but it's getting a little less frequent. But it still hurts as much or more than it did... Chin-up ladyflyer!! Sending good ju ju to the east!! It's on the way. I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  6. wow...that didn't take much!! Best of luck in the interview. Hope we get a new post tomorrow regarding your new job!! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  7. Agreed on the Big Fish...also an excellent tear-jerker. I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  8. My Dog Skip... I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  9. 1:9:0 One hump...not bad for a saturday morning before 5 jumps... didn't OWE any beer, but I did buy 3 cases for st. patty's day. 4 jumps sunday. Not a bad weekend at all!!
  10. meanie...rub it in why don't ya'!! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  11. I'm right there with you, man! Once they know someone it doesn't matter anymore. But that bark is enough to dissuade just about anyone who doesn't know the dog from doing something stupid! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  12. good lookin dogs. got my vote!! good luck!
  13. Awwww.... I have a runt, too. He's a lab / chow mix and HE is the best dog in the world. He's smarter than the average dog, definately more in tune with what's going on around him, and by far the best thing that's ever happened to me. If you believe in any kind of order to the universe and what happens to us in life, then you know how I got my pooch. It was meant to be. I'm happy that you've found a good master. Good luck with housebreaking...that's another thing I got lucky with. I can't imagine life without my dog and I shudder to think how (or if) I could ever replace the comfort I have knowing that my dog is at home waiting and protecting...waiting and protecting. I would be a better person if I could be one tenth of the person my dog is.... here he is.... I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  14. lol....freakin iddddjutts!!!!!! Been there, seen that, got the road rage. I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  15. That's a toughie! Ya made me think of how long I've been part of it all and how it all adds up... I did my first tandem on april 7th of 2002. I'm coming up on five years, but i've already indicated that i've been at it that long. Hell, I didn't start AFF until later that summer. And it took me almost 6 months to finish those 7 jumps. So, when was I technically a skydiver? When I did my first one? When I did my first solo? Just to put the numbers in perspective, I'd say that you've got one year in the sport. 200 jumps a year is a pretty good pace. Add a second year and your average drops significantly and you appear less experienced. So, one year and one day is just that. Keep up that pace!! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...

    cat

He looks more like he's gonna cry... I don't really like cats much, but this one looks like it might actually deserve a little sympathy...... .....from someone else! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  17. Sweeeeetness. Way to go!! With all that weight off your shoulders...you're gonna need a smaller canopy to get back to your original wingloading!! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  18. I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  19. Perfect example of not letting life get you down. Props to the kid!!! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  20. Bwaaahahahahah.... I've actually been to Big Bone Lick State Park back in the midwest!! I kinda' liked the Bong Recreation Area, too...we had several in college, but none requiring a sign... I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  21. Not sure about tater tot casserole, but homemade mac and cheese is the best. Not real cheap the way I make it... ...so for cheap...it's usually a double greaseburger PLAIN from mcd's. (Plain is the best way to get a fresh one.......) I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  22. Uhhh...(lie)...no, that's never happened. It definately hasn't happened at work more than once. ( And I haven't thrown 2 pairs of boxers in the dumpster because they weren't salvagable...) It never happened on the way to work during a sneezing fit, and no, I didn't call in with a new rule that if I shit myself on the way to work that I turn around and go home to bed, where I should have stayed anyways... AND it didn't happen at ACE hardware while strolling merrily and just lettin a fart go 'cause there was nobody around. And for the record, I DIDN'T ride home with plastic shopping bag between a dirty ass and my clean car seat. What you should take from this post is that it never happened and it's always good to use that excuse 'cause nobody second-guesses whether or not it's the truth. (Even when it's not true.... So, uhhhh...no....it's never happened to me. I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  23. Whaadddddup Steve?! Great to hear from you. We miss ya here, too. Sorry to hear about the abrupt end to your spring-like weather. We're stuck in some kind of 70 degree weirdness with no wind and all the snow's melted now. ...and of course the dz's on winter hours... BUT it's not snowing!! Get back down here this summer!! Can't you hear the pond screamin at you from there??!! I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
  24. Swweeeeet! Hope to see you at the DZ soon. chester I don't want to make all the decisions because if I screw up, then I can't blame it on you...
