  1. What a beautifl message to us all. You have a great heart, Muenkel.
  2. (Bowing down) Very impressive...you 'da man!
  3. - get over it. Ummm...I have mostly male friends and 2 brothers. I myself dislike those girls that claim to be sooo pristine; they need to BE REAL. All the girls that spoke up here have been pretty cool about things. It's not that our "sensitivities are damaged". (That is not true.) You see, we don't care if the men or "ladies" accidentally let one or two rip every so often. However, if you are firing away like a machine gun for "shits & giggles" (no pun intended), making people gulp down their own puke in hopes of not throwing up all over the plane and everyone's gear...something's wrong. It's true that everyone is biologically different, but COME ON!!! (rant) If you are making divers puke and pilots pass out - Learn to use the FUCKING bathroom (PJD) ...or, better yet, go to your doctor because something may be wrong! (Proper British professor voice) For gassy ones - "The more sulfur-rich your diet, the more sulfides and mercaptans will be produced by the bacteria in your guts, and the more your farts will stink. Foods such as cauliflower, eggs and meat are notorious for producing smelly farts, whereas beans produce large amounts of not particularly stinky farts." By the way, I have accepted that it will never smell like vanilla on the plane, but I still love ya all...so very much!
  4. Of course I read your posts!
  5. Mine are ridiculously small. They're a size 5 - about 8" or 8.25" (Difficult to measure exactly...They're really curvy due to a high arch). They're about 20cm. Oh well, I lose. Hey, but they're talented! I can pick things up with those tiny toes.
  6. it left a hole in my tummy. It's disgusting. It will take a few weeks to heal. I know what that looks like. That sucks, but you'll be fine eventually, Sunny One. It's great to know that you're back at work and feeling better. I would have called to wish you a speedy recovery, but I thought that it might be strange since you don't know me. However, you have a beautiful energy on these forums, so I feel like I know you. Anyway, please feel better. (Darvocet is good. )
  7. even though grasshopper will forget your name unless you're a girl.... prick. I jump at Elsinore. Grasshopper mentioned meeting the two of you, and he said that you were both pretty cool.
  8. Hmmm...most MD's I knew growing up made about twice what my Dad did. Of course....they worked about twice as much too. Yes, he is loaded, but he's always on call. (He delivers babies.) It's such a difficult life being in private practice...I don't know when he sleeps. He is such a good guy, though. I'm very proud to be his daughter.
  9. They pay comes.....but it takes many years of 16 hour days makin peanuts. I knew that it wouldn't be overnight $$$, but what is? If you can wait...who knows how things will develop? Hmmm...my late friend's father lives in Laguna Niguel and has no problem spending loads of money. My friend and I went to a pricey private school together when we were teenagers, so I figured that the pay was good eventually. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about...my own father's a physician, not a pilot. Sorry, if I'm not giving you good advice.
  10. Hi Canuck!!! My late best friend's father is an airline pilot, and he looooves his job (even after the 9/11 changes). If you can become a commercial airline pilot, like your dad, then you will be able to have days off to jump. Your dad will probably be very proud of you. You can also stay in different locations whenever you'd like, like my late friend's dad does. Plus the pay can be good, and you will always have discounted tickets for family. Even if you have to jump less for a little while; eventually, you will be able to jump more due to your hours. It is just going to take dedication for a better future. Whatever you do, have fun and go with your heart. Good luck!
  11. You mean the sexy pic of me drinking Corona that I posted on the Pic thread...? Shanna who...? ...thats just the way it works!
  12. I do have the courtesy to crack the door if I am sitting near it though. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you...
  13. NOOOOOO...I'm totally serious. I can be brave...as I dated a spectacular farting KING for 5 years (now my ex). After being with him, I understand that maybe some people produce more gas than others. On the plane, it's a different story. I am SERIOUS about getting dry heaves easily. I always get super nauseous when I have to use public restrooms, too. I think that if you guys are serious about not being able to hold it on the plane, I will just have to get a full-face helmet. Laurel -- You tell 'em, girl!!! I like your style... Fundgh...Were you the one with the picture of Shauna at Taft drinking beer?
  14. I agree with the ladies. STOP THE INSANITY, GUYS! The plane turns into a gas chamber when you let loose. (I am VERY sensitive to any foul smell due to chronic health conditions ). I know that it's funny, but seriously, some of us get nauseous easily, guys. One time, tears were running down my face, and I began to dry heave. The offender was truly impressive...like a machine. I almost threw up as he was firing away in front of me. I almost couldn't walk to the door (my legs were shaky), and when I landed, every one of his team mates ran up and apologized to me. It was a close call. Gassy ones, please think about the consequences to others. Personally, getting that nauseous leaves me very weak. I really think that it's dangerous to be that way in freefall. Just something to think about, guys.
  15. This is an excellent question! Thank you for making me rethink things now that I am no longer a student and trying to calculate my pull time according to my dive plans and/or snivel times. I just began pulling lower over the weekend, and I was pulling between 4000-3000 (3000 in a group track dive because I couldn't see everyone & thought that maybe someone had floated above me, so I tracked very hard and far). Since I am thinking of getting a spectre and will be loading it very lightly, the snivel takes foreeeeever. Therefore, I am thinking that if I ever foolishly find myself still in freefall between 1500-2000, I will go for silver. Of course, I hope that this never happens and that I will always pull way before then.
  16. Wow, those are beautiful children. I love those pics the best.
  17. Welcome to the Elite club of unemployed skydivers who don't pay bills in an effort to quell the addiction by jumping as much as humanly possible with fixed or little income. Yes, I belong (sigh)...except I pay my bills. However, when I am designing, it takes up ALL my time and energy. I am enjoying this break, but it would be nice to have extra $$$. Anyway, welcome to our little club, CrazyIvan, and I hope that you feel better by knowing that many of us are in the same boat.
  18. 10 jumps before I blew my knee out Yikes, sorry to hear that, Kelli. It was great to meet you on Thursday, and thank you for the 2-way. (My boyfriend was thrilled to hear of my first 2-way with a girlfriend. ) My weekend: 1:6:4 1 day of climbing. Drove to Elsinore on Saturday morning with intentions to jump, but I had to be picked up and whisked away by my guy when I felt really sick (O jumps). Felt better and climbed the next day at Joshua Tree. 5 jumps Sunday (+ 1 pre-weekend jump w/ Skycat) at Elsinore with good friends! 4 firsts!!! 1st container of my own (w/ 14" harness!) bought from Kelli (What a sweetie! Thanks for everything, girl!) 1st time jumping a spectre ...WOW! It suited my canopy flying style to a tee. It was sooo easy to fly and land. Now I know what type of main to buy for the container!
  19. VanillaSkyGirl

    AGE!!??

    I am 32 on June 19th.
  20. ((((((((((((((GOOD VIBES))))))))))))) Try to not overanalyze the situation, Michele. (Yes, the pot's calling the kettle black.) I will pray and send great energy your way and to your father. Please feel better, and I hope that your dad's just fine.
  21. Oh my gosh, how is it that you look sooo gorgeous in freefall, Sunnydee? I'm a little jealous...JK! Anyway, I just read your sitfly posts. (I probably want to pursue RW first, but over the weekend I attempted some sitflys.) It helps to read about others experience. Great threads!
  22. YES, I will, and I will hopefully see you there! (((((((((((((((BIG HUGS!!!))))))))))))))))))
  23. and then it hits me...I'm a real skydiver. We all KNEW that YOU WERE I love that you are feeling that way, and I'm so glad that you had a good time at Perris, girl!
  24. Hey Islandcool! I know how you feel about making mistakes because I am also a perfectionist. I guess that when we relax, things work out so much better. I'm so glad that in the end you had great time!
  25. What a great day that you had! Before it's too late, I wanted to wish you a happy birthday!
