  1. Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  2. You need to date swoopers and freeflyers. Jump right into a relationship and sleep with them as quickly as possible, otherwise another girl might beat you to it. Don't worry, there's nothing to the saying among us guys, 'in dating a skydiver, you never really lose a girlfriend, you just lose your turn'. Does this answer your question? Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  3. Let me guess, blocked a port that shut down business? J Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  4. I dunno. It sounded fun at first, but the more research I'm doing, I think I'd rather save the airfare for someplace else. [sigh] I know SkydiveAZ is huge, but that doesn't mean it's 'fun' - not to visitors anyway. Seen it before, you don't bring your own friends, you're on your own. Not all large DZ's are this way, but you have to admit, a single turbine dz is usually pretty easy place to make friends. Just asking... Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? 5. Ya know... I just broke my own rule - never ask questions you want a serious answer to on here. Let's see if I can delete the thread. The 'Tucson Visitor's Guide' is probably the best bet for info, eh? Lot's of cacti and sand. Weather says it's going to be 102degrees. Ok, never mind, I'm paying the $50 to get a credit on my ticket.... The desert in July isn't sounding like much fun... Damn, can't delete the thread... just the message. Skymama, help?
  6. Ok, looks like I'm going to be in Tucson, AZ from June 30 - July 4. Unfortunately I'll be entertaining myself while I'm there, soooo. How is SkydiveAZ? Do they have a bunk house (with A/C)? Where are the 'must see' places in Tucson? Any fun bars to hang out at after sunset? I want to make the most of the trip out there, skydiving, and otherwise. Thanks! Jeff ps- Skymama can vouche for my character! Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  7. Yeah, actually I can't tell you how many times people told me, 'Jeff, she's not even close to being in your league'. Oh well, at least I can say I was in a relationship that wasn't totally based on looks. Ironic, the ones that were based on looks were actually better... [sigh] back to the single life again.... 9. Long distance relationship. Added an additional cell phone to my plan with the unlimited cell to cell calling, and mailed it to her. That way we could talk all we wanted without running up her minutes. We broke up last week. Now I'm stuck with this two year cell contract. Not sure if she's going to send the phone back... That's what I get for trying to be thoughtful.... Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  10. Florida Pro - no state income tax! Con - f'in hot and humid Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  11. If you're just jumping with a small sidemount camera, you're probably putting too much thought into it. I typically look up, so I can get the opening on video. Ya never know when you're going to catch a cool mal on video! I barely even notice the camera is there most of the time. Jumping with a top mounted still camera, I look at the horizon, until I feel the canopy starting to open. Then I look up. My still is a Nikon D70s with a Sigma 14mm lens. Not exactly a light combination. I've gotten strained neck muscles from not keeping my head level... Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  12. If Trent signed a release, then legally, the photographer can do whatever he wants with the pics. Otherwise, Trent's agent (likely an attorney) probably won't be very happy that people are profiting off his client. Assuming this was done without Trent's permission (even if the legal fine print allows this); Morally (as a photographer), I think this is very wrong. Next time you want a picture taken with a celebrity, and they decline, just remember it's because of people like this.... Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  13. Blasphemy!!!!!! Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  14. Like AggieDave, I'm a big guy as well. ~270 exit weight, and I've been anxiously awaiting the KA. I see alot of skydivers that are easily 210 lbs. With 20 lbs of gear, (on a 150) that's over a 1.5 WL, which I would venture to say is fairly common among experienced jumpers. As far as the 170. Again, there are bigger jumpers out there. Is it going to be PD's #1 seller? Doubt it, but Velo 79's aren't their #1 seller either... Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  15. LOL... yeah... thought I was going to be super romantic, and bought some black satin sheets for a 'special' time on Valentines day a few years back. She was in bed, I took a flying leep into the bed, thinking I would stop, and start smooching. Nope. Slid across the king size bed like it was ice, and right off the other side, into the wall, and then down on to the floor. It's really hard to be romantic with a girl that can't stop laughing.... J Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  16. Bite me Mikey! Ok, I think I figured it out. There was a TV show on about 5 years ago that co-starred this kid as the younger brother. The girl that starred as his older sister was smokin' hot. Tall, slender, dark hair, small boobs. I can't remember the name of the show though... didn't really watch the show, just her. LOL This is gonna bug the hell out of me. I'm gonna have to woop some 'wanna be' ass next time I see 'em if nothing comes of this. Damn hyper focussing... J Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  17. The jackass in the middle is more infamous, than famous. I've seen him around Florida and Georgia DZ's... he's bad news! Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  18. Ok, I was in Vegas this past weekend, and a couple guys came up to me as I was getting my picture taken in front of the MGM Lion. I was a little annoyed at first (hence giving the bird), but just had the picture taken anyway. They claimed to be celebrities, and as they walked away, one guy called over his shoulder, 'send a copy to my MySpace page', as if I should just know who he is. Anyone got a clue who these celebs are? Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  19. This is a very noble, and respectable decision. I just hope that someday I can find the happiness that you've found!
  20. FYI, this works for girlfriends as well. Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  21. Perfect! Thanks Ian! J Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  22. Once again, you're omitting facts and taking words out of context to support your argument. Here's what I said: "The story was legitimate, your post was incomplete." We're all well aware that I performed a search that you were too lazy to do yourself. That's right, resort to insult when you fail at reasoned argument. Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  23. Here's the entire paragraph, so you can't accuse me of taking it out of context. Is that clear enough for you? I'm still trying to figure out where you're getting that 'stated claim'. I asked (pointed) questions about what they were doing. Why didn't you speak up and say that they were doing nothing wrong, but the driver got off because of a legal slip up? Perhaps because none of us knew, until *I* bothered to research it? While you're looking, here's one statement that I DID make, but you're not willing to acknowledge. Sorry, there's something significant being left out of this article; no, I don't know what. Yeah... backpedalling... that's about as accurate as everything else you've posted in this thread. Jeff Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  24. Ok, in my previous message: You claimed that you left nothing out of your story, and I provide you with the quote you omitted. You claim I've made no points, and I provided them to you (twice actually). I even numbered them for you. The best response you can come up with is a personal taunt? Weak.... My turn: yet you fail to mention that the prosecutor misfiled the charges against the defendant, resulting in him walking free. Then you have the audacity to accuse me of 'backstroking' when I actually do the research that you were too lazy to do, thereby uncovering the truth? Whatever dude. Exactly. Because you knew nothing about the crap you were shovelling, and weren't willing to bother looking up the full story. Once again, the jury didn't need to be convinced, because the appropriate charges were never filed. J Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
  25. First of all, nobody on here is backpedalling. I did my own research and admitted that my initial statement was incorrect, due to incomplete information initially presented to me. I asked what the rest of the story was, and neither of you spoke up. I researched it, and even found the original court records for the case in about 10 minutes. Now that all this is in hindsite, it's pretty easy for you to argue the point, isn't it? Now speaking of backpedalling, would you like to explain your above claim that criminal charges can only be filed where there is intent? A person's innocence does not imply his accuser is 'guilty'. However, innocence DOES imply no legal wrong doing. So, two parties are involved. One party is innocent of 'wrong doing'. Not many choices left. And for the record, I used to ride (10 years ago, so it's been a while, granted). I have many friends that still ride. Everything from Harley's to Ducati's. If you're trying to accuse me of prejudice against bikers, I hope you have more than you're 'judgement' and legal knowledge to support your arguments. Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
