Is anybody else getting pop up's on the forums? When I switch from one page to another I am getting the dialog box posted and also a box on the bottom of the screen saying internet explorer blocked a pop up. I am not sure as to what they actualy make, but they make that much at least. They live in California, expansion did take place. And no there insurance is not going up. That is the thing that I think is messed up about it. Actually, almost any document(s) can be faked. I even faked a few while in the military. And, last year I believe, someone on this website posted about buying fake passports. It is what is, but that does not mean we should just give up. Jerry Baumchen I never said or implied we should just give up. What I was replying to was Bill von saying e-verify is the way to make sure the potential employee is hireable. It does nothing to prove that if the potential employee is using good forged documents. Living in southern California for the last 37 years and working in manufacturing, I can tell you I have worked with thousands of illegal alliens. All most All of them great people, you have your scum in all factions or races or whatnot. I am not against imigration, but I have seen plenty of forged documents that would pass as being legit. Not all employers are just turning a blind eye and hoping they don't get caught. Many are caught in the middle. What I am trying to say is e-verify is a good tool and a good start but it can be better. It only verifies the validity of the paperwork not the person. Sorry fat fingers a phone and a few drinks. thought I proofread it good but obviously not. What I meant was. They are not being prosecuted as much because there is no good way to prove if they are legal to work. you can verify the ss# is valid but that no way verifies the worker. The company I work at screens them as best as he can but about once or twice a year he gets notice that one of them has bad forged or someone else's paperwork. And then he has to fire them. The owner truly tries to make sure they are legal to hire but the system makes that difficult. I hope that is clearer, I am on a pc now.

Assuming the employer followed the proper steps, there is nothing wrong with an employer terminating employees. The questions remains, why aren't these employers being prosecuted for hiring illegal immigrants in the first place? One reason they are not being prosecuted is there is no solid way to prove workmans rights. That is what we have now is a system that says you have to hire leagues but no way to verify them for sure. Back around 1982 83 in the Navy as a BT. Was working on top of a lit off main boiler 1250 psi 600 degrees. My friend reaches around the 8" safety valve for a wrench and wraps his whole arm wrist to shoulder on the hot flange. He pulled back and there was skin on the flange still sizzling. He's cursing and hollering as I'm laughing. After about 5 or 10 minutes he calms down. I ask him if he's okay he says yes. So I say hand me that wrench. No you all just expect unlimited training. That is Not the case in the millitary. It has been many years since I was in butt training time was costly and not very common. I taught my CPO things he did not know about automated boiler controls. Not unheard of, that is if his last command was not automated boiler control school that he was a instructor at. The millitary has very good instructional programs but unfortunately they rely on output rather then learning. I saw that first hand too many times. Well unfourtanatly some manufacturers use proprietary conectors. Not saying that is your issue but I have ran into that. I have ordered the same brand model number battery pack and find a different conector. Just cause the manufacturer wants to charge you three or four times the price. Good luck.
