thats absolutly rediculous you are all perfectly safe pullint at 3 grand or below the uspa guidelines bottem out at 2 grand and you surely don,t want to be pulling above 3,ooo and haveing people go past ypu in freefall . you have plenty of time to react to a problem and save your ass at 2 grand till 3 grand . my usual pull altitude as well as most of us that have been jumping a few years has always been in the neighberhood of 2grand and i feel perfectly safe so to pull at 3 grand is very safe and like i said pulling at 4 or so can be dangerous no matter where you are jumping at unless every body on the load is freeflying and pulling above 4 . just my thoughts on the matter and i must remark that if you use a reason like that you are really missing out on a really fun time for no good reason at all .hope to see you all there next year i have not missed a convention since 1985 freak brother #10 in freeport all of the quincy and all at rantoul it is really a fun time and one you should not miss .just my thoughts on the matter .muff muff muff till later have fun & love each other seeya mb65johnny gates

yep i don,t like roofs or ladders or looking out of high building windows or anything like that and when i walk out on the bridge in the evening on occasions to bring in the ramp if i don,t have on my base rig i tend to stay a lot closer to the traffic barrier then i do to the rail ( even after climbing over and jumping earlier in the day) . its just different when i have my rig on . till later have fun & love each other seeya mb65johnny gates

thats easy useing front risers tends to dive more and rear risers tend to turn flat and not lose much altitude . till later have fun & love each other seeya mb65johnny gates

i can answer that from a base jumping point of view . i practice this a lot when i open and before you unlock the brakes .start a left turn with the left rear riser then add some right ftont and you cant believe how fast it turns its ungodly how fast and flat as it warps the canopy and turns real fast and flat i practice this a lot when skydiveing to get me used to makeing a really fast riser turn in case i need to , to avoid an object while base jumping get used to doing it both directions .try it some time its surpriseing . but remember to start with the rear riser first hope this helps answer your question till later have fun & love each other seeya mb65johnny gates

cant really understand why you,r haveing the trouble you might want to let your rigger check it out . i am only 142 lbs and i jump an fiii pd 210 and have for about 15 years and you should be able to land that canopy in no wind conditions without any problems maybe your lines have gotten out of trim , i have always had good soft openongs and great landings and fly very well in the winds i fly in and my limit is about 16 or 18 mph but i have jumped in a steady with no gust winds upto 20 mph .hope this helps you .pd f111 canopys have a very good track record over the years till later have fun & love each other seeya mb65johnny gates

thats a damn shame cause the couple of thies i did stay there they were very nice and accomodateing and invited us to use the conferance room to pack . but i have been staying at the comfort inn for most of my trips ther eand always stay in the same room and its comfortable and convenient and they are good to me, but man we all have to be an ambassador for good will all the time . it aint hard just treat others as you would like to be treated and treat other,s proprty as you would want your,s treated , its easy . looking forward to seeing you all there have fun till later have fun & love each other seeya mb65johnny gates

i must add a little note here . i was on the jump with her and i am one of the biggest wind wimps on the d.z. the winds were below i5 they were between 12 and 14 for the most part at that point in time AND they wern,t gusting as they had been earlier so we went on the jump. myself and the other 2 asked her if she wes comfortable with them and she was and i did not think they were a problem and like i say i am the worlds biggest wind wimp plus the fact that this girl seems to have her shit together as i have seen her handle a wicked spinning mal and do all the right things just a week before so none of us were uncomfortable with it at that time . the jump went great and the winds did pick up a little after we landed later in the afternoon , but from my outlook given all the facts i just did not think it was a unsafe jump at all . but it is also great to see that all are interested in another jumpers safety . but trust me guys if i had not have thought it was safe for her i would not have gone with her . by the way she did great and got her muff number thanx for all the concern its good to see till later have fun & love each other seeya mb65johnny gates

i think one of my faverite memories of gus actually came in a video of the muff brothers 40 way team and the easter boogie at zhills made by mike mcgowan and the part was gus comeing out of a porta john and takeing a bow , and the music on that part was a very fitting ( don,t worry be happy ) and that was so much GUS and what he was all about . just heard the news a little while ago that gus wing was struck by the otter while under canopy and lost both legs dont have any details yet but lets all pull for gus and all involved there at this time . my heart goes out to all and am thinking and pulling for them all . till later have fun & love each other seeya mb65johnny gates
