Dom it doesn't look that bad. But then Ian grabs his arm. Kind of reminds me of our Tunnel session. Chris

OK the serious point first. All of What Musicman might have been true. But there are tons of possible reasons from misunderstanding to the instructor having a bad day or it not being what was expected to it even being exactly what he said. That being said, Skydiving can be a bit hard to crack as a social experience since many of us know each other well and tend to hang out a lot. TO an outside our comerodery might look like elitism. Bottom line I am sorry that he had a bad time and hope that he goes back because the sport has a ton to offer and there are some great people. And the RW guys are having Fucn GOD damn it Chris

Now that would be funny to wathc a 2 bellied Tunnel flier Chris
-
But the Camera flyer would ahve to wear 100lbs of lead Chris

Dru typically if you dot he B 2 it is tail on IC. Chris

Two things. The pitching of the body is a mental thing. You have to understand that the floor that is in your way won't be when you launch. As the front diver you can try to launch yourslef above the formation or let it unfold and follow it "placing yourself atop the formation. Bottom line is that the formation doesn't care how you are stretched above the formation wither by gymnastic launch or by timing and placement. Personally I always had the best luck by letting the formation start to leave and then move Chris

Hell done forget the Other Deland Team Fuse?? I mean that is one hell of a line-up. Chris

If you jsut want RW skills stuff. Mel at Elsinore and MJ at Peris oth run basic skills camps where they will work on eits, body position, turns and even do some 3 or 4 ways with you. Chris

Skydive U picked up and left the SoCal area. The only instructor I know of still is Uli at Perris But I think that Marie H (Work in the Tunnel office) Might have gotten it too. Chris

UHHHHHH JP You ever see Thomas Hughes?? Chris

I have a Sabre2 135 and have had these problems for much of the 500 jumps on it. HOWEVER I have had lots of success by pulling the quartered slider towards the tail allowing mroe air to inflate the canopy. Chris

Good Luck to the happy couple we'll see him back soon I hope. Chris

Agreed that landing the wingsuit is a huge accident waiting to happen. I am actually more worried about him doing it without injury and people copying him!!!! Chris
-
I think that flyign the wing suit is trickier, BUT Landing the 39 is definitely the most insane thing I have heard of Chris
-
Rummor was that Gary and Solly were leaving and there were 2 spots open on the team. WHo is going to fill them?? I have heard rummors of Magik Blue. Chris

I think that Stacy nailed it. 4-way is all about ahving fun. That can mean being on a team you get along with but done love being with is cool as long as the skyd.iving is great and your learning. However, unless you are pushing to get a ton better having a good time every training day is WAY more important Chris

Bottom line is how many jumps are you going to to do, how much tunnel time, and what are the strengths of your team? Avoiding mirros is a way to see each formation more. By not doing the mirrors in intermediate you get more practice at the move. But more importantly most int teams have less experience, have seen the formations less and often do fewer jumps. Remeber consitant blocks and random builds will always make for more speed. Chris

You will find a huge difference. Booties affect movements, nutural body position and even fall rate. It is like adding power to a car Chris
-
I will start by asking if you are getting the max performance out of your current canopy. Do you do Front riser turns and the entire list that BillVon Talks about?? And to answer the initial question YES. I think that it depends on the sizes dramaticly (A 1.5 on a 120 and a 190 are very different). ALso the wing loading on the canopy design. Chris

Having been on player coached teams and looked at this cafefully, I honestly don't think there is an answer. Look at Juggernaut in 2002 and tunnel vision. You ahve Juggernaut who trains and does well in AAA all year then goes Intermediate and destroys the competition. OR Tunnel Vision where the members have Very low jump numbers with TONS of tunnel time and do really well. Then look at teams like Mark Brown's Tons of jumps but little 4-way. Like many things in this sport we can try to draw hard rules but they will always be flawed. Someone will NEED a medal and they will figure out how to get one by sandbagging. Ultimately we all know who sandbags and they get what they deserve and I Hope they enjoy their tarnished medals Chris
