  1. Scott, Pantz will get you laid, not the suit Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
  2. Personally I have not heard anything bad about Felix's stunt and i really I don't want to hear that either. I think that he did a fantastic job flying over the channel with his glider. That was a stunt and a personal journey into human flight we all should have nothing but two thumbs up for him. Congratulations Felix, fly baby fly!!! J Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
  3. Send me your suit bitch and we check it out and fix it for you. I hate to see people out of control... Jari PS: I was kidding about the bitch part... Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
  4. All the brilliant postings before me are all pretty much right on the money, thank you. The bottom line is to remember to treat your HIGH PERFORMANCE gear as hig performance. When I jump my VE 75 or 79 I dump higher than I do my Sabre2 97, like Chuck says, there is no other capony out there that opens better with the wingsuit than Sabre2. I just wish it was smaller and faster and self packing... Jari Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
  5. Just put it in the machine or hand wash, medioum heat until clean, hang dry and your suit looks like new. ...touch the sky... jari Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."

  8. Jasmin, I can not send you emails or call your number since it seems to be disconnected so please email me (not from dz.com address) or call me your new number. Jari Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
  9. Hello, We are making a new updated BMI directory for our new web pages so please all BMI's out there, send me your full contact information, pictures (face and flying or whatever you wish) and or any other additional information that you think might be helpfull. Thank you, spread the world and have a fantastic weekend! Jari Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
  10. Hi Toby, the best way to train for the wingsuit jump is to get out there and simulate a flight without the wingsuit. Exit in delta arch, look at the plane. Turn first 90 degrees and make some symmetrical practise pulls with both hands, don't forget to close your legs the same time. Then carry on your wingsuit simulation tracking dive, don't forget to check your altitude and see where you are going. Show wave off with your legs and pull like with the wingsuit, both hands under your BOC. Once you have done that couple of times you will feel much more like at home on your actual first wingsuit flight. long soars, Jari Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
  11. You can also read online http://www.forbes.com/fyi/2003/0526/054.html version of it, no pictures though. My monkey, come to Deland to play with us. We have fantastic clouds here and I am organizing cross country flights and other stuff all day, followed by big party.. it will not suck, I guarantree. C'ya Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. 12. On Monday Kim, Kev and i did a shoot for popular science mag and on my third jump I had to cut away my 79 and use my 106 instead. damn that 106 is slow I had just a few twists, canopy was flying straight, no problems I thought. I cut away my leg and started kicking. This time I did something differently though since instead of starting to untwist the canopy dove down, started spinning and making more twists. It was impressive how quickly all this happened and much G's there were in such a short time. I am glad I cut away immediately, it gets very violent very quickly. Sally, thank you, I'll bring the bottle. Henri, your newest cut-in-lateral Wings work fantasticly. PD, thank you for the fantastic reserve. The point is that you may jump any canopy you like with wingsuit but if you jump high performance parachute with high wing loading treat it with respect and schoose all your gear accordingly. BTW, my cut away ratio (wingsuit) is 1:450 and all flights with canopies between 75-96 sqf. If I jumped Sabre 2 with recommended wing loading I propbably had 0 cut aways? Long and safe flights! 13. uuh, just how good they after this??? J Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
  14. Le Roy, Here is a public apology for a little prank I made. Your suit was actually sent to North Carolina already two days ago, on Tuesday. When Chuck came to pick his suit up we were talking about you and I made up the story below for you. Sorry for the confusion everybody. Have a great one everybody! Jari PS: Some packages from Europe are actually being held up because of the war. PS2: My letter to Le Roy below. Hi Leroy, I have good news and bad news for you. Your new S3 arrived at the same time as Chucks suit, so it is here in America. However, the bad news is that we can’t get your suit out from customs because your security status is not like Chucks. Wingsuits are classified as a GF4 class flight accessories and because of the war only patriotic class 1 personnel can receive GF4 type accessories from overseas until the war is over. We will let you know when the war stops and you can get your suit. Sorry for the inconvenience. Best regards, Jari Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."

  17. Hei Kimi and everybody else. Kim is right, we have tried out some larger wings and sometimes foolishly tested them with a living dummy like me. Fortunately we did our homework and aborted the mission (or flight) as soon as it was impossible to control. The problem with the wings that are not exactly right is that after a while they take control over a jumper. If you compare the the "arm" muscles of the bird and the human you will notise how superior birds "sholders' are to forexample mine. For that reason we have bigger brain i guess, at least sometimes. Kim introduced yesterday the new Skyflyer.3 at the Symposium so i can tell you more about it. It is improved version of the Skyflyer. It has different (read faster) profile, bigger surface area, improved inflation (has to be since the wings are larger), pockets and it's made using new materials and colors which are a step forward from what we used before. It is easier and harder to fly at the same time. You will have more arm and leg movement which gives you more freedom to fly either better or worse. A good flyer can tune it up more and a bad can screw it up. Overall it feels very comfortable to fly but one has to really practise the pull on the ground since the wing really goes over the hacky. Good luck with the symposium Kim and hope to join you soon, my wing muscles need some training .... Jari Jari "Hey, don't be afraid, ever. Because, it's just a ride."
