  1. Dya sleep with one eye open too? Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  2. I think that there are alot of people that if commiting a crime will use the best resources available to them. If they can easily get a gun why use a knife? I am not suggesting the existance of guns makes people into criminals... How on earth can you think that the size of gun crime in the US is not linked to number of guns? I find this staggering. 3. You make some staggering leaps and assumptions as to what I say! I didnt say that a criminal would walk into a shop necessarily. More likely just steal yours or someone elses at an opportune moment. I did read the link you posted. Did you? I suggest you look again. It talks of gun conversion first and then of the total GUN deaths not the total converted gun deaths. But thats just nitpicking. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  4. Thats you opinion - and I would argue that I have a slightly better view of life in the UK. Certainly than you reading a couple of reports on the web will give you. I dont deny that there are people that can make weapons / convert weapons - If someone can do it in a factory then someone can do it at home. Like i said though - for most people the resources and knowledge are not present. There is a world of difference between modification of a manufactured item and creating something that doesnt blow your hand off. Using shells makes it easier I am sure - but again if you can obtain ammo you can probably get a gun so whats the point. My point wasnt that criminals cant and dont get guns. I am simply saying opening hundreds of gun shops will make it a damn sight easier for people to get guns when they want one to use illegally. I dont think I have ever said that guns are not a problem in the UK - of course they are.... 80 or even 1 death is too many. More guns = more deaths and if you cant see the relationship I think it is you that need the optician. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  5. Well I am buggered if I know where I could buy some. But then again I dont live in the US When you have the key materials readily on hand I have no doubt creating something crude is straight forward. I would wager that I could ask anyone in the street here to create me a weapon capable of bullet speed and they would neither have the resources or knowledge to do so safely. 6. A little presumptious. And does that go for making the shells too? ohh and let me just nip down to the shop for my groceries and a quart of gunpowder. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  7. hmm, I am not sure why its a hard link to see.... Lets say I wanted to break the law right now... I would have no idea where to get a gun. Absolutely no one I know would likely be able to help me (and I know some fairly unsavoury characters) If my brother or friend had a gun in his bedroom drawer - TADA... not so tough anymore? If every household had a gun here - I think it goes without saying that access to guns is ALOT easier. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  8. Absolutely agree that criminals will get the guns before the law abiding citizens - but more legal guns also means more illegal. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  9. Well that I guess is where we will have to agree to disagree.. I hear the agrument that criminals that are intent will get guns / commit crime / do whatever and ignore laws, yet am asked to accept that crime goes down with a public gun deterrent? A simple statement that I really cant see a realistic denial of.... If there were as many guns in the UK as in the US - more people would get shot. More guns in the UK means less crime and less shootings? I dont think so Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  10. Think that guns are a little different - not quite so easy to make at home (not for most people) Basically, I think what is being said... is that somewhere like the UK for example benefits from lower gun crime becuase of the ban. In a saturated market like the US it is too late for a ban to be effective.... but ask yourself this... If a ban was lifted in the UK, and gun shops opened on every other street.... do you think gun crime would stay the same becuase criminals had guns already? I think it is unquestionable that lifting a ban here would see large increases in gun deaths. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  11. wow... 40 degrees is certainly alot more than I would have guessed... If my tracking was better I may have known think I am lucky if I bet 5 degrees! too many chocolate bars! Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  12. Kind of a bad analogy... If people were allowed to own cocaine and not use it... there would be alot more cocaine use for sure. I personally dont think a gun ban in the US is a sensible move - because its way too late for that. But as always - advocate the remaining of a ban in any country where the gun levels are low, as without a doubt it makes it harder (not impossible agreed) to get a gun. 13. Typical knights out - usually.... but lead with the queen if its a new opponent that I want to test / have fun. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  14. Not really thought about it before, but I am not sure a tilt would be relevant to simulating a track environment? Even in a track, I would guess the forward speed is not high enough to warrent a change in relative wind direction? Just my gut thought - may be well off the mark
  15. The numbers are about right if you do everything solo in the tunnel.... but the maths works the other way if you do 2-3-or 4 way.... On a plane the costs go up... in the tunnel your costs go down. You dont get any swoops, but you wouldnt go in a tunnel if thats what your looking for Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  16. Sounds like one to miss when youre depressed Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  17. We are playing with the idea of running double sessions for this very reason - although not on 2 levels - we have enough area to stand 2-by-2 Nothing final, but certainly a realistic option for us.
  18. Damn, I should have got you guys to write my business model Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  19. sure... www.bodyflight.co.uk (or click on the banner!) As for hiring - starting in Feb, training to be done in Switzerland.... Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  20. We have been posting a few times to keep people up to date - and our website has a fairly recent status.... But in short - we will be on site with all parties 7th-9th Dec and are aiming to project our opening date later in Dec. Our renovation work will take a good few months (motor etc arnt really off the shelf!) but would aim for testing sometime around July. But give me a yell if there is anything specific I can answer
  21. I would have to strongly disagree. Funding is not an issue for us at all. I think our lead time to opening will be smaller too. But only time will tell I guess
  22. I agree whole heartedly... everyone should be allowed to choose.... The pub issue is that this also includes workers. People shouldnt have to work in a smoky environment.. but a seperate room just for smoking would work (although thats alot of rooms to make!) The UK ban is not based on workers rights though - as otherwise all work environments would be covered. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  23. We certainly have Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  24. Its probably because that when 'they' ie someone else stops using their car... they still have to encounter your smoke Basically your right to a certain extent - maybe banning cars is next I would probably support a limit on car engine sizes / exhaust too though - think mankind could survive with 1.0 litre engines rather than 5.0! But, as I have passed my boy racer phase of life I would say that Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  25. That would be more likely a trojan that has replace / tagged itself to the IE executable directly, or the homepage entry you have stored. There are a couple of really annoying trojans that do that... If spybot didnt get them - Spyware doctor covers alot too (www.download.com) or any of the many others... If you dont get rid of the executables running (Doctor has a runtime check too) then you'll always get stuff. Ever checked your running processes? (CTRL+ALT-DELETE for a task list)... how many of them dont you recognise? although some may be system based others are easy to spot... ie Bargains.exe webrebates etc etc Good luck
