  1. Thats just getting lazy Matt, using the same material for different topics and cutting out typing an brain power! Good for you Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  2. Only reason I doubted was in my last trip to Sebastian - we had a discussion about fireworks (they had some in the training room) and I was told they were not legally allowed to have them? and they would have trouble if they were caught setting them off? Just what I was told - hurrah if you can!
  3. I think its a little more diluted than that nowadays.... Every year I celebrate the fact I can set off fireworks eat bonfire toffee and party some. (ohh yeah! Are you free to set off fireworks? lol) Kinda like Christmas really, more a tradition than the true meaning! Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  4. I agree whole heartedly.... Give guns to all the kids and let them protect themselves Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  5. Trying the experiment in an airplane or car would be pointless... as the bowl shape / imperfections and water movement determine the flow! You couldnt even easily make sure the bowl was level enough accurately if you're moving it manually Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  6. Sorry... youre close... Christianity is 'A' religion of peace... But it could also be said of most religions including Islam. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  7. Me too... Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  8. I dont think you can blame the religion of Islam for the poor implementation of a some followers. Most Islam people wont support murder of this kind. Christianity would not likely be considered a religion of death - but Christians still kill people just as muslims do. As for intolerance? Most mainstream religions arent... for example Catholocism isnt really tollerant of homosexuality, contraception, abortion The very nature of religion (guidance for what you should do / believe) goes against accepting the things you shouldnt do. I think its too easy to stereotype Islam and muslims in this way - but not at all right Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  9. Firstly, last time I looked - physics was one of three major scientific disciplines And also - think I concurred with Kallend too Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  10. I dont think dressing up is a great idea... but would be interested in having a pair of breasts.... I could sit in a room and play with them all day Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  11. Ok Ok... certainly the closest... Its really down to the shape and imperfections of the bowl.. So - Lisa Simpson, youre not so smart after all! I have three basins in my house for example - 2 go clockwise - 1 goes anticlockwise Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  12. Fraid so... if they said that your household plughole is affected by Coriolis.... I'll hold on for correct answers Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  13. lol... I wondered how many people based their knowledge on the simpsons However... FAIL - Coriolis is NOT the right answer... but a commonly misunderstood myth. Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  14. lol.. I'll reserve judgement on that one til I run out of other suggestions Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  15. FAIL - Next answers please Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  16. Yeah, good time to invest in military manufacture too Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  17. Having seen the budding scientists among you in the 'Weight / Mass' thread.... Here's a little poser for you.... What makes water go the direction it does down the plughole? Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  18. I think I understand some of your frustrations.... but also think you are off the mark on a few points (obviously why you get a thumbs up from PJ!) Firstly - More likely to screen muslim males? Apart from the obvious stereotype this is an ineffective way to run security.... chechnyan rebels dont quite fit into 'asian guy with beard' as a search category is one example. You accept that anyone can commit a terrorist act - good, security is aimed to stop that. I am sure the Asian male citizens of the US would love your attitude - wake up man! Secondly - People should worry about being sued for preventing bad things from happening. What you are referring to could be 'stereotyped' into a category of 'Negligence' True, there are unaccountable accidents which should be easily identified... but a good % of accidents are acutally someones fault - albeit probably in alot of cases the victim! And as for imposing Secular Humanism!? as a secular humanist I cant see the issue with that Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  19. I find that hard to believe Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  20. I dont know, we could have great inter-tunnel regional competitions! Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  21. Tell you what... out of all the sites you could have given us a backdoor to... you pick that one?! For shame Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
  22. Okay, on those points... We are using 3.8MW of input power, our anticipated requirement for 120mph is circa 2MW so we are confident we will be able to have power to go up to FF speeds! Obviously a tunnel of our size take significant power over that needed by other smaller diameter facilities (1000HP for 12ft compared with our 4500HP!) This does hit our running costs but hey... we dont have to spend millions to build the thing! On the blades, variable pitch blades are being used and not a variable speed drive. A few reasons... Fixed speed drive is cheaper / constant noise and reduced at 700rpm... Change of speed through pitch is plenty fast enough given the right blade & system design.
  23. Maybe bunkhouse style, or we do have about 20 bedroom size rooms which could make for the more home-comfort interested skydiver The rooms are not our first priority obviously - but a serious plan non the less.
  24. London-Luton is probably the best bet... about an hour drive from there to the tunnel. (conservative driving that is!) We are looking into the possibility of accomodation on site (we have alot of space!) so you maybe even wouldnt need to worry about a hotel Bodyflight Bedford www.bodyflight.co.uk
