Jesus also said the current generation wouldn't pass away before he came back. How can you have hope in a book that contradicts itself, is provably wrong on numerous accounts, full of scientific inaccuracies, and offers advice on how to beat your slaves and kill your fellow man for believing differently? It's pie in the sky nonsense. Better a harsh truth than a comforting lie.

Why should anyone give a rat's ass about what the bible says? It's biggest stories (creation in six days, noahs ark, the exodus, etc) are easily disproven nonsense.
