My post came more from overhearing a conversation at lunch (Wendy,s) where I heard couple of people talking about Hillary's qualifications, but not voting for her because she was a woman. I am trying to get to know my new neighbors, and so far the people that I have met and talked to have been really nice and charming. Adding another blanket statement, I have actually observed that the people in the miswest seem to be much friendlier then the northeast. I guess it's the little things, for example I have seen way more Bush/Chaney bumper stickers here in the last month then I have seen in the last two years in New Hampshire. But back to the original question or a variation to the question. Do you think the Democrats will win the White house with either Hillary or Obama as the candidate? P.S. I did not base my view only (on a "recent" move =>little or no exposure), but other factors such as how the regions have voted over the last couple of presidential races. I have just recently ( about a month) moved from New Hampshire to Indiana, so my observations may be premature. It really does seem to be more conservative in this part of the country then on the east coast. I do not think that middle America will vote for a woman or an African American regardless of their qualifications. I could be wrong, but I think if the democrats have Obama or Clinton for their choice for president. I think the republicans could win the presidency again.
