Tom is a USPA coach, tandem master and a master rigger. He is always willing to help out and offer advice and jump with less experienced jumpers in an effort to keep them safe. He is very willing to let experienced jumpers know when they overestimating their abilities, and is willing to work with them to become safer. (Even his stubborn brother-in-law, who sometimes thinks he is better then he actually is) Does he come across with a superior attitude? Sometimes yes Has his intervention made the skies safer, and possible saved some lives? ABSOLUTELY. What have you found are the differences between tunnel flying and skydiving? ______________________________________________________________ I have found with skydiving, you get a true freedom of flight with one of the best views human eyes can ever experience. Truly a magical activity very few people will ever experience. I have found with a tunnel, you get a safe amusement ride that offers a nice view of nothing. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka (who could forget that steel cage match where he leapt off the top of the 15 foot high cage for a frog splash on his opponent, only to have the opponent roll out at the last second? I was told by the lawyer at one of the dropzones that I jump at that if the FAA catches you jumping an out of date rig, you, the pilot, and the DZO could each get fined $1000 for every jump you make with the out of date rig. A perfectly fair question. You dont need 500 jumps to ask it Never got around to documenting my accuracy jumps. I just at a busy DZ with lots of folks in the air at once. I usually land out of the way because I dont feel like having someone swoop me to death. That being the case, none of the people that would need to see my accuracy ever see it ______________________________________________________________________ Yea, but can't mark a spot in the "out of the way" area to get your accuracy requirements.
