High 30s is the lowest I've seen it, but as Ed said, generally mid-high 40s overnight. Last year wasn't so bad cold-wise while we were there, but I think the fact that it was cloudy/rainy a lot kept the temps more moderate. I'll take more sun and colder nights! Not that long ago it was for sale. You could have snapped it up for only $925,000 (including some acreage). Perhaps. But that's not my point. It's an Icon of the Prairie. And we'll miss it. It's been there for the 21 years *I* have been at LP. It was there before most of us ever HEARD of LP. It was there before we ever jumped there. It was the gathering place for the boogie. It was a place to go to say "no shit, there I was". If you said it was your FIRST, the bell rang. You happily bought that round. The bell. The bar. The memories. The wagon wheel. The bar jumps. The HYMN HYMN HYMN. The pictures. The people. The vibe. They used to move the pool table out. Did you know that? That side of the bar was WIDE open for *US* to enjoy. It was home. If for only a few days. And it FELT like home. Then they left it there and it was covered ... in beer and good times. The SMALLEST bathrooms ever. With ducks on the wall. Waiting in line and stealing the "men's room" if the door was open. Stinky. And bar tabs. And George being all grumpy with a glint in his eye when I asked for ice. Poker games. BAR DIVES!!! The WOOD ... Cunninglinguist time. That bannister has more memories hiding in it than an old folks home! MadJohn. Richie. The Cock Chorus. The Crack Choir. Mac. Mac LOVED that bar. Lots of good times spent there with him. Friends lost. Too many to mention but the memories will never fade. Their memories are in that bar, on the walls , ON the bar. In our hearts. Friends gained. It's been there for it all. Memories. LP will never be the same for me. But I am so glad I had 21 years of the fun and MEMORIES. This year will not be the same. Don't take away my memories of it. Post yours ... because you can't deny, it was a FUCKIN' COOL PLACE to be!!!!

Bummer that we're losing this Icon of the Prairie. Yes, the LP Lounge is CLOSED. It's official. Don't ask me why. I don't know the ins and outs of the reason behind it. I only know that it makes me very sad that the Prairie has changed SO MUCH this year. I'll be there, though. There are a lot of people I love that I get to see there. This was one of them. I have the Olympus Stylus Tough 3000 and really like it. It takes pretty good pics underwater. Get a second battery though. Mine died this year on our trip to Lamanai. Found mine on sale on Amazon with the card, a little tripod, a case and a cleaning kit for about $190 US. 'Shell
