And that's why it's news worthy. They were finally ALLOWED to do what they were CAPABLE of.
  8. Then sit back and enjoy the ride! 'Shell
  9. I haven't jumped in a few years, but # 981 was a lovely tandem over Belize last year! Sit back and enjoy the ride! That's what I did!!! Then again, I had some AWESOME scenery!!!
  10. It's LP. Sometimes the ice is a more precious commodity than the alcohol! That is VERY TRUE!!! But I have a fridge. That FREEZES EVERYTHING when it's on propane! 'Shell
  11. Seriously? That sucks. We'll be missing two hockey classes for LP; not sure I can stand not being on the ice for two whole weeks. You'll have ice in your drinks. You can always chip some off the glacier on your roof for her. The former roof that came crashing down is gone. As is MOST of the snow. So, I have no glacier for Lisa. But I will get her some ice for her drink. Hell, I'll even get her a DRINK! 'Shell

  13. Asterisk those. We aren't for sure yet. But thanks for tolerating us! If we do make it up there, we found an ice rink in Whitefish. Taking over their public skate session one evening might be a good time. You better be there!! There's also a zipline in Whitefish. THAT could be fun! 'Shell
  14. I think this one speaks volumes! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZZ7_l1QaZ8 'Shell
  15. Folks! Before we go off half cocked (and yes, I'm in that group too!) let's look at what we know. And in case you're confused about what we REALLY know about the boogie, reread TallGuy's post - it sums it up pretty well! The boogie is going ahead - YAY! Are there changes in store? Yes. - Boo? Maybe? Who knows. Yes there are rumours running rampant out there. Do we like what we hear? No. Are these rumours founded or unfounded? Probably a little of both. This will be my 21st boogie in a row. And EVERY year there are changes. Can you IMAGINE what the original Osprey jumpers thought when their boogie was being moved from Kalispell to some valley in the middle of nowhere? I've camped in six different areas on that DZ. One of the first is now occupied by Larry's hangar. Were we mad when our camping area got taken over? Yep! Did we come back and find another spot? Yep! Remember when the regular landing area was a no landing area and moved down the valley? Did you like that? Nope! Did you come and jump anyway? Yep! Remember last year when the landing area was put back where it belonged? Yep! Did you like that? Yep! After 21 years, I LOVE that valley, I LOVE the people that are there and for me, that's the MOST important part. The people. Let's be adults about this reserve judgment until we see things for ourselves. Over the years, there have been a LOT of people putting their heart and soul into making this boogie what it is - 44 years strong!!! Thank you. I guess all I'm saying is while it would be nice to have some more "substantial" info on what's going on (and hopefully that is forthcoming), I'm going to LP to see for myself. And to see ALL you people that I love (and some of you that I just tolerate)! In case you missed it, here's the list! Skybytch, I took the liberty of adding you and Keith.
  16. There's 215,000 km on my 1998 that I gave to my dad! That's the reason I went with a newer one. LOVE JEEPS!!!! I've been tuning him (yes, I call my Jeep a him ) since day 1...He runs like the first day I bought him Both mine are girls. Haven't had either NEW but take care of them like they were mine from day 1. They were day 1 for ME!!!!

  18. Thanks! It's SO clean. A really nice ride. I'm very happy with her!! 'Shell
  19. There was about 4' at the peak of it. There's a windrow behind the Jeep in those pics from when they cleared the street of about 10" of packed snow (the windrow WAS about 6' high at one point!!) You picked the right time to leave here. Most snow I've seen in 20+ years. Enough to bring down the roof on my deck in Feb. 'Shell
  20. Another Overland. She takes after him. 'Shell

  23. As much as I love my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, it was time to say goodbye. Towing a trailer was getting a little hard on her. So I got THIS one over the weekend!!!!! She's a 2007 Overland and I LOVE HER!!!! My '98 has gone to a good home ... my dad has her! And he loves her!! It's been 10 years since I had a new "to me" vehicle. It's kinda nice!!!
  24. Millie is GORGEOUS!!!! And you know I love those boxers. She's a mix of my two (my little whitey, Bug, and my sweet brindle, Tucker). Sweet!
