  1. Well,I have seen a similar issue like yours with a Spectre 190 and PD tried to make that canopy open faster but these days, soft openings are the major concept and design and that is why you should only addressed your issue with PD because they have all the good people to take care of your concerns. They are very understandable and I am sure they will try to make their best to satisfy you.Biggest mistakes would be to play with sliders and PC without any discussions with PD,my point of view.
  2. Looking by your licence number, how many jumps and how many years from now?I believe that you were used to faster opening...I am right?
  3. Looking on this picture, scary thing I see is that the jumper is holding his toggles while the canopy is inflating...Hoping that he will never do that on a Velocity...
  4. If you do not trust your rigger or if the rigger does noy trust his job or your rigger wants your death, everything is possible...Not every rigs are perfect, not every riggers are perfect, but I hope not too many riggers are killers!!!Scary things sometime happens and I saw some of them but not to intend to do so,just bad rigging wich could have cause minor troubles. But this case is leaving me a little cold breese on my bones....

    Heliboogie

Any dates available for Heliboogie at Kjerag in 2007?
  6. You should send this picture to Airtec,it does not look good.Look like somebody wants to extend some old unit with old type cutter wich you cannot replace,in other words, better not jumping with this one...
  7. One thing we did from the last 3 years,on EZ and Sigma 370 is very simple. We attach all steering lines group with a rubber band on the 2 inner C lines and ever since then,no more line over.
  8. You should also measure from cat eye to steering cascade and cascade as well, this part also shrinks like the lower part.Always compare with original specs and you will see, might be surprised!

    HMA

Not packed in a sandy area and actually, fibre start to cut slowly into the loop connection, just around the PD soft link.Maybe the bartack surface on the soft link cause a certain friction on the loop inner part.I'm just sceptic that HMA is better than Vectran under certain condition caused by friction.PD is aware of this situation and they will have a look at it.Thanks for replying this post

    HMA

Got a Katana 120 with HMA line on it with about 250 jumps and the 2 inner rear C and D lines on each side broke just above de bartack.I am curious if somebody around had similar wear or problems with this issue. Thanks
  11. You want pull-out or throw-out....Both systems from RWS are perfectly safe enough, depending the way you close your rig.
  12. I do not have any infos about Singer 269w26.Is it a good machine to work with for bartacks on lines and other purposes..Is any rigger worked with this one . Thanks
  13. Download available at www.flyfirebird.com under download area and on PDF format 390 contrail
  14. I just pack them like a base canopy in the pocket.Half of a twist on each loop and I slide them all the way far into bag .I keep the loop in my hand as I am pushing them down the bag.You can contact Pablo at RWS,he will help you out for sure.Practice is the key and I did the same thing in the begining....3 or 4 times.....
  15. Is there someone heard or saw something about a Vigil missfire on DC-9 at Rantoul on a Wings that the reserve pilotchute did not went out from the container after the cutter fire-up?Just want to know if that happenned,Thanks

    Woe Canada

Very well explained, some people should consider to read this thread instead of reading stupid crap of the news stuff. Thanks for this one. Quote
  17. I find that you should more be careful to not downsize too much.At 25 jumps with your weight,a lot of DZ owners would not let you jump with a 135.You should get more experience on a 170 and a 150 before getting this Spectre 135.It is my personal opinion but I believe a lot of fellow jumpers think the same way.You should be more concerned about the size of your main for now.Be careful man,
  18. I just can't believe they are asking 570.00 $ for a reline. At this price,do they think they will be in business for a long time...I did a reline on a VX last year with their line set and they were selling the line set for 200.00 us .I know one thing for sure, they do not want to give the line trim of their product to any master rigger. It seems that it is a military secret.Up to now,I am not quite impressed about this company politics. My opinion..
  19. I have one of my friend that is leaving to Sweden this saturday and he has a Vector2 with a Phantom 24' reserve in it.The rig is in good condition and I am woundering if he can jump and make the reserve packed in Sweden according to their rules.I already e-mail the federation but if someone knows the answer, just let me know. Thanks
  20. Well,with all of those infos,I guess I will find what I want,Thanks to all.Very appreciated
  21. Is there somebody who can tell me how or where to get all the Icarus canopies trim specs!I was trying to get them from there web site and I can't find them available on line like PD does.I do need the one for Safire 230.Thanks
  22. You can check on the FAA web page,I think you should be able to get all the infos from it.
  23. You can go on the Aerodyne web page and find all you need about the Tempo, charts, specs, line trim..
  24. Don gave me my Master rigger certificate tests and I knew him from a short period of time.I did jump with him also and I will always remember him as a very respectful human, skydiver and friend. Very sad to hear about his death.Best vibes Don and I will drink a single malt scotch to you...You will be missed
