  1. HMA is no longer used for brake lines, only vectran . I would use 725 vectran for UST and 1000 vectran for LST, always good to have separate LST from UST. personnal preference but as you wish.
  2. To all tandem instructors with Sigma 340 with vectran lines. With what type of slider you find softer opening , regardless passenger weight.
  3. Any news about the mandatory stowless bulletin from Aerodyne that is not on line anymore ?
  4. I had a customer of mine that bought a too short wings for his body and flap was always coming out when tighting it. I took his measurments according to Wings chart and their answer was to ship the harness back to make it fit to yoke and MLW lenght. Looks like that to me.
  5. Is the harness is made for your exact body measurments or you bought it used and it fits you a bit small ?
  6. Hallo there. Anybody have the lines chart for this oldtimer Airtime Desiign canopy ? Thanks
  7. Any riggers out there ever see or heard about a correctly loading reserve canopy that got the middle cell blew out from a terminal opening , under 130 knots Quote? 2004 made.
  8. Would be very nice to have some feedback about this canopy, especially openings. Thanks
  9. I had this one in 2008 and 1 out from my 6500+ tandems up to now,...
  10. I do have a concern about this issue. I see on the field that some senior riggers and A1 canadian riggers are starting to make spare parts as: main d-bags, pilot chute, briddles, cutaways.... Is it me or I find that this is going too far !!!

  12. According to this manual, it does not take no 26 or 28 needle and size thread as well. So it will not be suitable. Quotehttp://www.duerkopp-adler.com/commons/download/download-text-attachments/Vintage_Leaflets_Adler/Leaflet_Adler_class_220.pdf
  13. We use a lot from www.frankais.com. He makes suits for tunnel as well, very durable
  14. Hello to all. Anybody knows who is making black HMA line set for velocity ? Same line installation setup as Icarus .
  15. Hello. I am currently looking for a walking foot zigzag industrial sewing machine and I am wondering which model works the best other than a Consew 146. Need good foot lift as well for heavy work. Thanks
  16. Tandem canopies ? If so, not bad but secondary brakes have to be NOT set.

  18. I really tried it on the ground and in the air, but I find that it is not so great and friendly TI user , especially if the y mod is all the way on the hip junction after opening. My post is only to find any TI comments and tricks that might help to make it easier. It is very time consuming with the passenger after opening but I believe it is making it more safer as well. I still believe that if the harness is very well adjust like I did in my 6000 tandem jumps, you should not need this .
  19. Anyone tried this modification yet without any kind of problems to sit passenger ? Any particular tricks to know to help to make it easier ? Thanks
  20. I saw this kind of mistake on a main and luckily, with the tension of the first opening, it did not move to retract. The jumper did 3 jumps before I noticed. Don't need to test and put yourself into a dangerous situation.
  21. I can say that on almost 5000 Sigma 340 or 370 dacron or Vectran, you can eliminate a lot of those only by making sure that the trap door is not to long. Ask Mark Procos about us at Voltige2001 dz and ever since we keep the kill line long enough, we never had this kind of mal .They did a bulletin about the length that you should have and believe me, line stretch make a big difference. As soon as you feel yourself in a too long trap door, you get a chance to get tension knots, happen more on old lines as well. We reline our canopies every season. Hoping that helps to solve your problems
  22. For me, like riggerrob said, follow the manufacturer rules and manuals and that's it. I even caught a non certificated reserve parachute inside a Mirage and I refused to pack it. I called Mirage to see if they would authorise such thing and they just told me NO,NO. CSPA rigger is still packing it , I still wounder why ? If something happenned or a fatality, who will back-up for this ? Not Mirage, Not CSPA and then, rigger is f.. Simple as that. CSPA should not be over FAA certification rules at all for equipment, exept for canadian harnesses and parachutes manufacturer
  23. If you come to Canada, you are aloud to jump almost anything, even a Sorcerer BASE rig, as long as you have two parachute in your back, CSPA is very loose about the certification rules. They say ; as long parachute is certified.... go ahead. Only on demo jump you are request to jump a FAA TSO system.
  24. Silouhette is a very nice canopy but make sure that you are not over loading it. It should be like the new Pulse, better ask at PD to guide you because those canopies are getting less performant with over loading due to F111 material. Sincerly, it is a nice choice depending what you are looking for.
