Different wingsuits

Recommended Posts

Thanx a bundle! Been looking for the wingsuits in soulflyer.
But after talking to a couple of people that BASE jump alot, I think the next wingsuit's going to be a MTR 2. Usually jump matter freefly clothing, works for me. Why not try the wingsuit.
Have someone ever washed their wingsuit? Mine is kind of dirty (white wings) after beeing handled... and landed in hairy conditions :)

Yes, just be sure to put it in a garment/lingerie bag so it doesn't wrap around the washing machine , use the gentle cycle and woolite , allow to air dry. You can hand wash it as well again using a gentle detergent.

I've just finished washing my 3 wingsuits. Use the gentle cycle, no spin dry. Hang out to dry and they'll come up looking like the day they left the factory. Smell a whole lot better, too.

I have washed all of my bird man suits in a machine in gentle cycle, works great. I have washed my Matter this way once and won't do it again. I don't think the stitching liked it. No damage but the stitching doesn't look right. Next time I will just soak it in a tub. I don't believe that it needs a bunch of agitation as its ZP is not as porous as the kind BM uses in fact in most cases it can just be wiped clean as it is slick material.

I don't know about Matter suit but manual for S-Fly suit tells: "The use of washing maching and dryer are strictly forbidden. Cautiously clean any dirty areas with cold water using soft cloth. Do not use any chemicals. Do not iron"

Went onto their site and the opening pic caught my eye. I recognised that mist...it's my home!!! Swakopmund, Namibia. They were there a coupla years back filming SoulFlyers.
Btw, for those who have seen the dvd, that black dude with the funky guitar....he's no local!!!

Cheers.

Oh yeah, no doubt about that. Was just a surprise for all of us who recently watched the dvd. We were all like: "Hey where'd he come from?" Actually saw him in action while they were in Swakop, quite a talented dude. Still, nice to see my home town get it's 15mins.
