  1. Just wanted to pass the word on.. Got a new movie from some guys that BASE jumps in Norway. These guys do some sick flights down mountains, and I mean down the mountain. They don't fly away, they keep hugging the mountain until they see fit to break away and pull the canopy. Then again, I guess some of these guys have better tracking skills than most people, could outfly certain people who fly wingsuits in ordinary smokepants. You can see some of the movies on skydivingmovies.com "wecanflyucanhardlymoveforward" "welcomtothemountain" "vikesaksa" are some of the flicks. Or you can get the movie "superterminal" from the VKB guys. I bet you'll find it entertaining! Blu skies
  2. Talked to a friend of mine today who wants me to test some new recorder for him. His company just got this and it has been tested by skydivers before, but none he knows about. It is also being tested by a very experienced BASE jumper from Norway. He supposedly tested it during easter in Italy, I'm eager to hear what he found out. The recorder records the velocity every second using GPS, horizontal and vertical. After use you can download the info down to a computer and get a print were you'll see a plot of the vertical decent and a plot of the horizontal route you took from exiting the airplane. There are some more functions, but I'll have to use the recorder before I know more. Last time I talked to him, he told me that he were to check out if the recorder can record more often than every second. He said that there would only be some software changes. The website for the recorder: www.frwd.com Or call the distributor: 004740204347
  3. For those who might wonder about the same things as I did. Here are the different web pages I found with exellent help from the forum: http://www.bird-man.com Maker of the classic 2, Gti and S3 http://www.matterclothing.com Maker of the MTR2 http://www.phoenix-fly.com A wingsuit in the making http://www.flyyourbody.com Maker of the S-fly And a web site full of wingsuite info (excellent page) http://www.flybirdman.com/
  4. Thanx a bundle! Been looking for the wingsuits in soulflyer. But after talking to a couple of people that BASE jump alot, I think the next wingsuit's going to be a MTR 2. Usually jump matter freefly clothing, works for me. Why not try the wingsuit. Have someone ever washed their wingsuit? Mine is kind of dirty (white wings) after beeing handled... and landed in hairy conditions
  5. Thanx! In my defense I just started on my classic 2. Due to different rules I have to have a couple of jumps on it before I can upgrade.
  6. Does anybody know how many different types of wingsuits there are? And the different web pages? Matter and birdman are the ones I found on the web. Phoenix are in the making.
