What cross training do you do?

Hey, just wondering what cross training people do to improve
their Freeflying?

I've found that my mountain biking and weight training has started
to have a positive effect on my flying.
+ the unicycle and juggling has improved my general co-ordination
in the air.

that doesn't count, I wouldn't really call it cross training. Your still
freeflying! Just in a confined place.

Definitly yoga.

I got introduced to it for 30 mins at the dz one morning and since then ive been doing it a few times a week for about 20mins. Im planning on maybe joining a class sometime.

Its improved my flexability and overall body awareness. I would recommend it to any freeflyer who wants to be more aware of what each part of their body is doing in the air.

Don't you mean your spare tyre? This will make you work much
harder with your daffy because of the unsymmetrical airflow.

Agreed...especially hot yoga

Flexibility
Strength in muscles not often used in day to day routines but used in skydiving and especially freeflying
Body awareness/focus
Relaxation
Get in - Get off - Get away....repeat as neccessary

Might have to start doing some yoga again then, used to like doing
that one where you stand on your head.

Climbing gym is cool too, now this is good for daffy!

Fuck yeah! I'm going to the climbing gym to do some bicep curls and watch Ryan climb!!!! Two at once baby....maybe we can get Tui to do some yoga and then we'll be the shit!

lol, climb halfway up with a dunbell and do some curls! fuk yer,
then on the way down do the salute to the sun yoga thingy. :S

Unicycle is awesome for head up i reckon. and just mastering the
uni is awesome for confidence, seeing as it so hard a first.

unicycle at my level is good for head down, but I need a full face helmet B| :D

lol, you would be surprised how easy it is to jump off when you
screw up. Good for your reflexes! + full face is crap for head
down.....:D
