superstu 0 #1 June 10, 2005 was just looking at some pictures and a thought came to me, why is head down so much more popular then head up? there are very few bigger head up jumps, or jumps just designated as head up jumps it seems. maybe it's just me but why do you think wanting to learn and go head down has become the "in thing" to do now a dayz?Slip Stream Air Sports Do not go softly, do not go quietly, never back down
ianmdrennan 2 #2 June 10, 2005 Cause head up's a shitload harder. That's why I pretty much spend all my time head up now. I think you'll see more head up flying in the near future Blues, IanPerformance Designs Factory Team
freeflyimpaired 0 #3 June 10, 2005 QuoteCause head up's a shitload harder. Ian's right on with that. Just a couple years ago if you could even fly headdown you were one of the best. I think that became the standard to be considered a "good" freeflier. In the next few years I bet there will be a lot more emphasis placed on what you can do with you feet down. All I can say is I wish I was half as good in a sit as I am on my head. Nowadays it seems that all the good headflyers are going back to their feet, and I plan on making the same transition. I thought it was because you suck headdown. I just go til I am totally screwing one up, then I flip to the other.

FreeflyGoat 0 #10 June 10, 2005 Why is heads up not as popular? Cuz, how many of those peeps can dock a formation on their feet? It's hard. Heads up is where it's at. Actually, the hybrid of both is where it's at _________________________ goat derka jerka bukkake jihad
ifics 0 #11 June 12, 2005 Head up is hard, but so is Head down, at least for me at this point. I'm trying to keep them both on the menu while I learn so I don't lose touch with one more than the other.

hippydiver 0 #16 June 13, 2005 for me right now, it's all about flying head up and tracking. I'm working on my headdown, but at the moment, there are few things I like more than going out with other solid sit/head up fliers and rocking out some good solid docks and formations or playing around with different things on tracking and flocking dives. mmmm. and i'm amazed at how many of the good headdown fliers i've met who can barely hold their sit. In my opinion, being able to fly 3-D/all directions is where it's at.---------- gravity rat formula 109 Team Gonzo and Team Jamaican Me Crazy no bullshit, let's just fly, be safe, and have fun. dharma1976 0 #18 June 14, 2005 yeah I have a bunch of friends who can fly head down but can really fly fett down... I love flying feet down... I love flying head down I even love back flying and belly flying too... but hey to work on hybrids dont you need belly skills? and autmonauti seems to be another choice we have been doing lately keep it on all the angles and positions and then you are a good freeflier ;) cheers Davehttp://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing. rhys 0 #21 June 16, 2005 head down is just one part of freefly, it's fucking cool but head up and head down combos are even cooler, then taking the combo on the angle, now that is the coolest. blue skies."When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will see peace." - 'Jimi' Hendrix
