What Happened To The "Skydivers" Link?

Recommended Posts

I've opened up a few additional fields to search profiles on. Go to:

Who's Online --> View Member Directory

Try the search function at the top. It has a drop down to select which fields you'd like to search.

Any other specific fields in the profiles you'd like to search on?

I'd like to seach by Home DZ. Its nice to be able to look up posters DZ's before you travel to a new DZ. Also by their real name. Some times I've met a jump and know their real name but not thier screen name.

Well, the HomeDZ one is one I use quite a lot. The thing is, the searchword has to be written exactly the right way to get the right results. And, especially with the homeDZ field, there are usually several variations of writing down the name of a DZ.

So, any chance of wildcard searches or something?

...Or a 'really advanced search' where you could write an SQL-search to get exactly the results you want?:P

I liked being able to search by any (public) field in the profile database -- to find, say, other Racer jumpers in Texas, or other people at a particular dz with CRW as their first preference, etc. Is it possible to return to that kind of search?

Also -- I liked being able to see the date that the profile was made, and the date it was last updated. Gives a sense of how "active" it is, and how current the info in it may or may not be.

I would just like to say something. Rather than make a post in talkback, i checked this forum to see if this problem had been discussed. After reading this thread, i was able to do my search. If everyone was such an angelic dzcommer like me, this place would be so much better.

Thanks again Sir Willem for such an awesome site.

All,

I am not going to make a broad search available again. I will add the Home DZ search when I have time. I'll consider other opening other options over time.

Can I ask why not? How about why was it taken away in the first place? It was really nice to be able to search with multi variables. Right now for names it's search by either first name or last name and not even both together.

I really enjoy this site but am dissapointed with the removal of this service. Please bring it back......
please?:(
