Bill Murray to jump with Golden Knights

I thought UPT forbade tandem demos.

The US military is the largest customer that UPT has, so I don't see them causing a stink about it.

Either way tandem demos have happened in the past and will continue to happen. There is a waiver process with the USPA for one. Beyond that the GKs can pretty much do what ever they want.

You try to get a Foker jump plane as a civilian, as an example.

We did that show a few years back....neat deal.

Jumps all over chi-town, city beaches, ball parks, city parks, etc.

One point to consider about those beach jumps....there's a REASON they call it The Windy City!

No doubt that is true.

Been there done that. Kamloops May meet 2002. On a later load Dick Cheney wandered out of the terminal and the airspace slammed shut for twenty minutes after they had depressurised the plane at 17,500. Thirty five very stupid, rather blue skydivers spread themselves all over the Thompson Valley when it reopened. Fortunately no one was hurt, but a few jumpers didn't recover enough to jump again for the rest of the boogie.

That's a fact - Jack ! ! !

Aaarmy training Sir!

Bill Murray is one of the good guys around Hollywood. I met him at the Burbank airport where he was picking up a flight on a corporate a/c. He was really nice and laughed it up with the maintenance staff to the point they were practically rolling around on the ramp. You bet he'll have the Knights in stitches too. They'll love him.

John Winger: Why'd the chicken cross the road?
Soldiers: To get from the left to the right
John Winger: He stepped out of rank, got hit by a tank
Soldiers: He ain't no chicken no more

General Barnicke: Where is your drill sergeant, men?
John Winger: Blown up, sir!
Soldiers: Blown up, sir!
General Barnicke: Where have you been soldier?
John Winger: Training, sir.
Soldiers: Training, sir.
General Barnicke: What kind of training?
John Winger: Army training, sir.
Soldiers: Army training, sir.
General Barnicke: Are you telling me that you men finished your training on your own?
John Winger: That's a fact, Jack.
Soldiers: That's a fact, Jack.

God I love that movie. :D
