End of sale of incandescent lights in the US by manufacturers.

That's what most people assumed - and that would make sense if the people in the crowd were LED lights.  I took it the opposite way; the candles want the incandescent light dead because it's a threat to them, just as the incandescent lights want the LED bulbs dead because THEY are now threatened by the new technology.  I thought it was a clever way to symbolize the cyclic nature of opposition to new technology by conservatives -  the new technology always becomes the old technology, and the progressives who brought the incandescent light bulb become the conservatives that oppose the LED bulb.

Someone else claimed it's a dramatization of a theme in an Ayn Rand book because of course there's someone who always thinks that.

what is your opinion on the Swedish Quran burning free speech issue?

"All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify."

People need to start thinking a bit more and at least try to stop making things worse, especially with their "solutions."

So you think that a small democracy should pretzel twist their own free speech freedoms, with unknown consequences to other free speech freedoms,  to accommodate the religious sensibilities of Muslims?

You can burn it but I don't think that's a particularly wise thing to do.  Freedom is a dish best served with a side of personal responsibility.

Okay, where is the dividing line between personal responsibilities and religious belief? Do the muslims making threats against a small democracy have any personal responsibilities, too?

Why does there have to be a dividing line?  What you do is either beneficial and edifying, or it's not.

That's kind of vague.  I haven't read the details of this, but in general most of the quarrels today are unnecessary and easily avoidable, but we insist on provoking each other.

Fine, then read about it.  But to be brutally clear I think you know exactly what I am discussing and are just pretending to not know.

Before I go to my rest, please also think about the fact that it's not about Christian religionists but about Christians versus Muslims versus "other" Muslims. Just like here in America where Christians have grievances against each other but that they are lately not acting on with deadly violence.
