Close the border!

That's one of three reasons they are coming less often. The primary reason is more enforcement.

"stepped-up border measures under the Obama administration have already helped significantly in reducing illegal crossings by Mexicans"

"We know that crossings are definitely down and we also know it is much more difficult and costly to cross now than it used to be"

"The slow recovery after the 2008 recession, particularly in construction and other low-paying jobs where many Mexicans had worked, is also a factor, she said."

And the reasons they are leaving:

"most Mexicans left the United States “of their own accord,” with about six in 10 migrants who returned home saying they were reuniting with family members. "

"14 percent said they had been deported."

"6 percent said they had found jobs [in Mexico.]"

For terrorists, the U.S. refugee process is the worst possible avenue in which to travel to the United States. The background checks involved are the most rigorous and the most extensive of those undertaken on foreign nationals coming here. This is likely why every 9/11 hijacker and all other foreign persons who've committed acts of terrorism were non-refugees -- they were mainly student or tourist visa holders.

>Just use the National Guard to round them up and throw them out.

One thing I don't get about this nonsense is that the 9/11 hijackers weren't refugees, the Paris terrorists weren't refugees, Breivik wasn't a refugee, the Aurora shooter wasn't a refugee . . . is it just that they are scary and different and come from another country, a country where THEY might be?

It's odd that Republican candidates claim they are strong enough to stand up to Putin, but seem to be terrified of US news anchors and orphans.

>Looks like Donald Trump is going to be the only choice because our safety is
>becoming the only issue.

Not to fear; we have two more fearmongers on deck.

Sen. Elaine Morgan said that if any refugees do somehow get to America, "we should set up refugee camp to keep them segregated from our populous" because "the Muslim religion and philosophy is to murder, rape, and decapitate anyone is a non Muslim." One wonders how Dave Chappelle gets through a whole show without decapitating everyone in the audience.

Rep. Mike Moon wants to “tie the governor’s hands” to stop “the potential Islamization of Missouri.” He has realized something - "from what I’ve seen, a practicing Muslim comes in all flavors (black, white, brown, yellow —American, African, European, etc. etc.) . . .A ‘white’ lie could allow an individual to pass through the vetting process.” He is forgetting that those damn refugees don't even have enough respect for the US to tell white lies, and might easily tell brown or yellow ones.

But what's the problem? We have a pretty thorough vetting process that takes upwards of a year to ensure that we're not allowing terrorists in. So what's wrong with it? Let's ask the people pushing to keep them out:

==============
Mr. Ryan argued that the program needed to be paused “until we can be certain beyond any doubt that those coming here are not a threat.”

“It’s that simple. And I don’t think it’s asking too much,” Mr. Ryan added.

. . .

When pressed, most Republicans could not specify which aspects of the rigorous refugee vetting program that they found inadequate.

Fear is winning. Enough Democratic party cowards checked which way the wind was blowing and joined with the Republican fearful today to pass a motion against Syrian refugees by a veto proof margin in the House. Home of the brave?

Well, at least it will become a lot easier to make US flags. One piece of white fabric.

In fairness, if it were not for the recent change of government in Canada we would not be taking in any Syrians either.

It's very funny how the same people that keep telling us how much more dangerous swimming pools are than gun owners, yet are so afraid of refugees. Refugees have killed far fewer Americans than gun toting 'Muricans (even toddlers), or swimming pools.

When even the president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention says the anti-refugee hysteria has gone too far...just...maybe...it has.

I hope Rehmwa is reading this, because it proves that the Right and the Left aren't equally bad in the same ways. As the Right gets more right wing the Left isn't getting more left wing, it's getting more spineless.

I'm certain everyone is aware....

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/house-approves-bill-to-pause-syrian-refugee-plan/

The will of the people is to stop Syrian refugees from mass entry into the U.S.

The bill now goes to the Senate. If it passes and goes to BHO and he has vowed to veto it.

Diane Feinstein, D-CA, is concerned and she wants to put more control on student visas.

http://observerleader.com/2015/11/bill-would-add-restrictions-to-visa-waiver-program/

Why would our psychopathic liberal Progressive-Islamofascist POTUS desire such an action? He wants more civil unrest. It is his ideological agenda.

"The government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish."

Wrong!

"I am going to fundamentally transform America."

Dinesh D'Souza in 2008 was right and you all laughed. I believe 2016 is going to be nightmarish. That is unless somehow we find a way to unite.

I am all with you when you say you do not want a mass entry in the country.
Do you consider 2 families/8 people like a mass entry ? :o

So the tightening of border controls that you want will cause civil unrest?

So why do you want it?

A) We're still laughing

B) You're a survivalist - you always think the next year is going to be nightmarish otherwise what would be the point?
