>If they want to protest something what's wrong with that?

They are protesting the WRONG THING! They are completely politically incorrect! The only valid protest is a protest that aligns with the government's agenda.

Now, if they were protesting the mishandling of Benghazi, or the mean women who keep casting aspersions on white male leaders, the right wing would be proclaiming how wonderful it was to see young people taking a keen interest in current events and politics, and would be noting that this sort of activism is good news for the future of America.

That's what confuses me. It appears that the students in the article are planning an anti-abortion protest which seems to be inline with the conservative agenda.

Unfortunately this is what our schools do to them today.

But you're also unwilling to listen to the students who ACTUALLY got shot at or were ACTUALLY shot.

Did you Actually get shot at? Or are you just trolling.

No, I'm just calling you out for saying these students are pawns and shouldn't be taken seriously.

How seriously you take these children?

Now that you-tube is banning gun video's. Where are you going to learn about shooting, guns, etc.?

YouTube Bans Firearms Demo Videos, Entering the Gun Control Debate

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-21/youtube-bans-firearm-sales-and-how-to-videos-prompting-backlash

YouTube, a popular media site for firearms enthusiasts, this week quietly introduced tighter restrictions on videos involving weapons, becoming the latest battleground in the U.S. gun-control debate.

YouTube will ban videos that promote or link to websites selling firearms and accessories, including bump stocks, which allow a semi-automatic rifle to fire faster. Additionally, YouTube said it will prohibit videos with instructions on how to assemble firearms. The video site, owned by Alphabet Inc.’s Google, has faced intense criticism for hosting videos about guns, bombs and other deadly weapons.

I was flicking through channels the other day and an ad for an upcoming series was showing. Every single scene had sexy young people shooting at each other, often with nice closeups of the gun as some beautiful woman squeezes the trigger.

So youtube has gone into full libtard mode. What's to stop some gun enthusiasts with some computer saavy from setting up a video site similar to youtube, solely for gun videos?

Libtard? My how angry some name callers sound. Nothing is stopping them. Except the technical problems and expense. Alphabet has the right to decide what they will publish. Just like everyone else. Maybe Rebecca Mercer and some out of work Cambridge Analytical people can get on that.

Well, some people seem to think that protesting something they agree with is great. But protesting something they disagree with makes the protesters 'dupes' or 'brainwashed tools of the liberal elite' or some similar garbage.

And, of course, these same people are certain that those who think differently from them will have the exact same reaction when confronted with protests about stuff that doesn't agree with them.

So these fools call the student's protesting about lax gun regulations those names (tools, dupes, whatever) and expect the liberals to call the anti-abortion protesters the same thing.
While I have been disgusted in the past by anti-abortion protesters using younger kids (as young as 7 or 8 in some cases), the idea that a teenager cannot form intelligent opinions about causes is...

Stupid.

Sure, some of them care more about Justin Beiber, Taylor Swift or eating laundry detergent than politics or moral issues.
But some actually care about shit that matters.

It doesn't matter if I agree or disagree with their opinion. They are entitled to it.

It just seems like some people think that everyone hates and disparages those they disagree with.
Which is pretty far from the truth.

Many people, including me, firmly believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion. And allowed to express it in a civil manner.
I have far less tolerance for opinions based on false info, bigotry or hypocritical moral 'superiority', but even the KKK has the right to say what they want and to peaceably assemble.

So while I personally disagree with both the kids protesting abortion rights and gun rights, I don't think either of them are 'dupes', 'tools' or garbage like that.
I actually admire their willingness to put forth the effort to make a statement about what they believe in.

Unlike certain people.

I don't think Bob is going to the same video website we are. Probably wonders why all the videos end with the girl taking off her clothing and and they never fix the TV.

This was network tv. I haven't had the nerve to search for any videos on the internet in a long long time. That might be an interesting game, try to find a google search term that *doesn't* bring up weird porn.

I wonder where the whole knife thing came from. It seems like a few years ago it became a major trend, it was cool to have and use a knife. I've always wondered where it came from. It doesn't take much with younger people some time. I remember when I was that age and it was easy for my friends and me to get into some new thing we'd seen in a movie or head in a song.

No it is not, because it ignores the 67 US cities with higher murder rates than New York or London.

His point is that despite the strict gun control that the UK has, people still find ways to kill and maim. So it's not a choice of weapon issue. It's a mental issue.

I'd like to see a break down of those stabbing incidents though, and see what kind of sociological issues are involved.

Tell you what.

You come at me with a knife. I'll have a gun.

Who do you think will come out worst?

So yes - WHY people choose to attack each other is a psychological issue that goes back to the roots of our humanity which will probably never be resolved until we evolve into sentient gas-clouds or something, but the ABILITY to murder a bunch of people with little to no effort is a result of the weapon of choice.

Guns are designed to kill stuff. That's their purpose and they're MUCH better at it than knives. You can't simply say 'people can attack each other with sponges so we need to be allowed guns.' It's a nonsense argument.

Mental issues make people violent. Easy access to guns gives such people the ability to become mass murderers.
