I went to the dz, and didn't remember about my year anniversary of my cutaway until I was already there. I started talking to one of my friends about it and was really fretting over the bad karma and everything about the day. Finally he said, " if you're so worried about it, forget about the main and just pull the fucking reserve handle!", and then he started laughing and it made me realize how ridiculous I was being. Sun might shine, might dry out runway enough for plane to take off...but I will still be finding a rigger to my gear back together and repack the reserve.Saturday - probably weather holds all day, drink early, get toasted. Sleep in waterproof tent!Sunday - who knows? JUMPING?? hope so. If it has rained too much it won't matter because of the damn runway. Drink a lot and still plan on attending the Hawaiian Luau. Ruin grass skirt by getting it muddy. Where is Jessica dammit? We need to drink a beer together!! Sleep in tent.Monday - I have no idea. rain? sun? jumps? drive home early? a lot depends on my hangover...Slappie, I know how you feel...weather forecast is yucky!!Mouth, from what I hear, you won't be sitting at the pool looking at the sky being mad because its supposed to rain there too. Tee 0 #60 August 31, 2001 We are doing a fundraiser at our dz next weekend for a "family" member who was hurt a couple of months back. One of the competitions we are having is the Zoo Load (craziest fun jump). So this weekend I get to practice launching a 6 foot blow up shark out of a C-206 with 3 other people, while dressed in a snorkel set, flippers, bikini and grass skirt!!!
