I just got my check from the great state of NY today $3143.20. I had to pay the Federal Government $156. So thats not to bad since I don't have to pay anything all year being a farmer. Tax time made me money this year.

Ah, very true. On the other hand it's a tool I use to save a nice chunk of cash for the end of the year. Two schools of thought, whichever suits you.

Finishing taxes too before i go. Let's just say I'm getting 36$ back from Colorado, my home and former state of residence. You don't want to know the checks I'm filling out for federal and IL.

I got about $150 back. Had my taxes mailed by the middle of February. I figure if I'm getting less than $500 back and not owing anything, then I've got my deductions dialed in pretty well.
