Just when I got within a foot or two, the one with his back to me gestured with his hand, and whacked me square in the face. OUCH. If I wasn't as tall, I would have had a black eye. Fortunately, he hit my mouth. There was no blood or broken teeth. He felt SOOO bad. He and his friend were apologizing and pretty mortified. I told them not to worry about it.
