RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 August 25, 2005 How long can you make $20 stretch? a day? a week? or more? What types of cheap food did you buy? Ramen noodles? Subway sandwiches? Tuna? Just curious. _________________________________________
chaoskitty 0 #2 August 25, 2005 About a week and a half. After that, if I'm broke I'm broke. Seems easier to be flat broke than to just have $20 to spend sparingly though. Its been a long time, but I've been there.
tigra 0 #3 August 25, 2005 I whine about being broke, but truthfully, its been a really long time since I've been that broke and needed to be that disciplined.
BGill 0 #4 August 25, 2005 When I was in Australia I was about as broke as they come... Hmm, yeah I'd buy a few things of Ramen (that's a couple meals), some jars of peanut butter (that'll definitely make at least a week of meals). Then take the hike down to the dropzone, pack for the day, then miraculously that $20 turns into $100. I'd say 2 weeks if you absolutely must do it.
