Good stuff! For the definitely under $20, the Big House Red from Bonny Doon ain't bad either.

As long as we can play the buck over/under game, I'll submit Bodegas Lan Vina Lanciano Rioja. Best all-purpose red I've found in this price range. Good by itself and with a wide variety of foods. Now I need to go find another bottle.

Well... Lets do this right.... year make price

2002 Yellowtail Shiraz $14

Marques de Caceres, Rioja... easy, and cheap.

You can also try a 1989 Chateau Petrus...
A little above $20, but the extra few bucks are definitely worth it.

2 buck chuck at Trader Joes - HANDS DOWN the best bottle of red wine for the money.

Definitely. For the last 30 years or so (she's retired now), my mom worked at the company that prints the Charles Shaw labels, and 2 Buck Chuck was previously a $7-10 bottle that just got relabelled because they had a huge surplus of grapes one year and wanted a way to offload the extra. They then realized that it was a mega-seller, and started growing and bottling it specifically.

I like TX wines and only drink reds.

Becker Vineyards, 2004 Cab. $12.99-$14.99
Messinahof Merlot $15-18
Sister Creek vineyards, Cab, $9.99
Flat Creek is good also but i haven't found it yet so i couldn't tell you the price.

Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
