SKYDIVE 0 #1 September 29, 2006 I'm interested in buying a Wings container however it doesn't come with "spacer foam" like the Vortex II I have. Can anyone tell me what sort of padding the Wings has in term of comfort. Thanks !
pbla4024 0 #2 September 29, 2006 I believe they call it "quilted backpad". I've got it, it is quite comfortable. Looks like some foam between two layers of Cordura to me. Fido
yamtx73 0 #3 September 29, 2006 The quited backpad is very comfortable and I'm glad I got it on mine, of course the overall fit of the rig is excellent as well...The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...
SARLDO 0 #4 September 29, 2006 I just ordered a new Wings rig and they threw in the quilted back pad for free "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" ~Samuel Clemens MB#4300 Dudeist Skydiver #
idlewild70 0 #5 September 29, 2006 i got the quilted backpad for free as well. between that and the articulated harness, my wings is so comfy that ive had to double check in the plane to make sure i was wearing it.-Fish Blue skies, Soft landings
masterrig 1 #6 September 29, 2006 They use a padding on the leg-straps that is just too comfy. If I recall, it's a high density foam padding. Super comffortible rigs. Chuck
yamtx73 0 #7 September 29, 2006 When I got mine they were "giving away" the cut-in laterals... considering I'm rather thin that just made the rig fit even better. Definitely an awesome product! The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...
matthewcline 0 #8 September 29, 2006 I have 18 Wings Sytems I use and the yall have the quilted Back Pad. It is a good deal in my opinion. MattAn Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

bigway 4 #11 September 30, 2006 Spacer foam is awesome, however if you buy a wings custom made, you dont need the spacer foam. The wings is one hell of a comfy rig!... I myself would love spacer foam but the comfort of the wings comes first. On another note, The customer service i have received from Ankie at wings and from other stories i have heard i have to say never in my life in any situation has customer service been so great and most times what you think would be nice for them to make you happy, they makesure they make you happier than that. I would give my broadband provider the money that a wings costs just for the customer service Wings provides. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
