So, I got a second opinion - and no surprise the dealership was FULL OF SHIT!!!! I was just told by the mechanic "There is nothing wrong with your car. The oil pan was leaking a little bit along the edge, but it only needed to be tightened - everything else is in good order!"

Next order of business.... a complaint letter to the dealership!

WHEW~ this lifted a nice weight off my shoulders today!

Good job on checking up on that. I'd get a second opinion on anything that had a long list of "these have all suddenly and mysteriously gone bad or broken."

I had to come back to this thread.... here it is a year later and Steve takes the car in to be serviced today(different dealership) before our road trip. ALL of the service that the other dealership noted a year ago weren't even brought up. WTF

I used to run a dealership....these guys are obviously on commission of some sort.
