d_squared431 0 #7 April 7, 2008 I can focus with both eyes... it just takes a lot longer... and as far as pain, well not doing a whole lot for it right now. ryoder 1,401 #8 April 7, 2008 Quote I can focus with both eyes... it just takes a lot longer... and as far as pain, well not doing a whole lot for it right now. Oh, sure I could focus with both eyes, but with my eyeballs moving independently like a lizard, that meant focusing on two different things. Fortunately, the surgeon was able to push all the parts back into place, and after surgery the pain was gone, so I never needed to touch another Vicodin."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. LongWayToFall 0 #11 April 7, 2008 Thats a big 10-4. Don't mix with alcohol if you care about your liver at all. And go easy if you care about your stomach lining as well. What you gotta do though is either break em up, or "parachute" them. (how fitting for a skydiving forum, hahaha) This involves smashing them into powder and putting them into a small piece of tissue before you ingest. But don't tell your mom I told you that

unformed 0 #13 April 7, 2008 Vicodin is absolutely horrible. I will take it off your hands for you. Edit to add: If you have any Valium, that sucks too. You should give it to me.This ad space for sale.
iluvtofly 0 #14 April 7, 2008 The only time I was on vicodin was right after I had my wisdom teeth out. I had not problems with it, other then feeling like I was drunk the whole time.
Dumpster 0 #15 April 7, 2008 Personally I can't stand it. If I take it once in a while, it's OK - If I have to take it over a long period of time (such as after my recent neck operation - No good. Makes me itch, and weirds me out severely. Doc switched me to Darvocet, and some Valium to settle me down while the Vicodin washed out of my system - That was much better. Easy Does It
sharimcm 0 #16 April 7, 2008 Vicodin is NOT a good thing for me... I get a severe case of the hiccups that will NOT go away until that shit gets completely out of my system. It weirds me out as well. Not good... CSpenceFLY 1 #18 April 7, 2008 It sucks for me. When I broke my back they started me out on Lortab (sp) great stuff. I slept for a week. They switched me to Vicodin, I ate that stuff like Pez and just laid there wide awake in pain. After a week of daytime TV I was up and about. I still have a huge bottle of those things. I use them for headaches.
kbordson 8 #19 April 7, 2008 For bad pain, I prefer oxycodone. Hydrocodone just doesn't quite measure up. But everyone is different and what is GREAT for some might not do squat for others. On either though.... yeah.... thinking doesn't really work
ifall 0 #20 April 7, 2008 Makes me itch too. Thats really the only affect it has on me. I'm allergic to a lot of pain meds so I just don't take them. I don't even bother to get the script filled if given any.
lawrocket 3 #21 April 7, 2008 I found it bad stuff. I was given some after a sinus surgery in 2003. It didn't do much for the pain. I still hurt. What happened was that I just didn't care. Serious head pain? I didn't care. Hmm. Some infomercial on tv? So what? I'll watch it. Hungry? Big deal. I don't need food right now. I sure am thirsty. But that would require effort. It wore off withing a couple of hours. I went to the bathroom and flushed them. It's not that they were useless, so much as they were just too damned good. And then I stopped myself from flushing them all. Damn it, it hurt. I foudn that 1/2 of a vicodin did wonders for the pain and didn't leave me goofy. My wife is hotter than your wife. ladyskydiver 0 #22 April 7, 2008 When I had surgery awhile ago, they gave me a vicodin/valium combo. It helped me survive the recovery time - thankfully!!! However, I took the stuff and within 30 minutes was unconscious for 4 hours until it wore off. Vicodin alone makes my brain not care that my body's in pain and makes me itch. I hate the crap and don't take it (or anything else strong) unless desperate.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. ladydyver 0 #23 April 7, 2008 Hydrocodone works great for me......although I can get a way with a 2.5mg dosage to alleviate any kind of problems I have had including post operative pain. give me a 5/7.5/10mg and the lights are on but nobody is home. Oxycodone - can't stand the stuff it makes me jittery, turns me into an insomniac zombie. On a side note about hydrocodone.....it is the most prescribed medication in the nation - at least it was a couple of years ago when I was taking a pharmacology class.DPH # 2 "I am not sure what you are suppose to do with that, but I don't think it is suppose to flop around like that." ~Skootz~ I have a strong regard for the rules.......doc! JSBIRD 1 #25 April 7, 2008 I don't advocate the use of drugs...well, yes I do. But Vicodin is best left alone unless really needed. However, a buddy of mine (RIP Billio) once encountered a hot woman in a bar really close to closing time. She invited him home, he accepted, and when they arrived there, she offered him 2 Vicodin, and 2 Viagra...also known as a V Squared cocktail. Again, he accepted...and you probably know the rest.
